...not the "Shanghai" style stacking blocks, but the real thing. I would like to get one for my PC, preferably in chinese.
Thanks.

PM your complete contact info and i'll mail one to you. it's in mandarin & cantonese and quite fun since you can switch between HK rules & 16 Tiles. if you're concerned i'll provide heatware or you can ask sr. member/mods to vouch for me.
be careful, these games are quite addictive and a new one arrived in stores for chinese new year

Are you speaking of software for the PC or a handheld majong game? I'd be interested as well if it's for the PC :)
Are there rules for the HK rules in english?

hey it's plucky duck -- we used to talk about playstation games :)
these are PC based and are best sellers from HK (featuring celebrity opponents & offer side games & internet play). i believe these DON'T have english instructions but if you understand 13 tile or 16 tile rules you'll be fine. if i find time tonight i'll post screenshots.

Sent you a PM last night - would love to see screenshots of the game you have and find out more about the version you have - I'm looking for something in Chinese for my folks.

had a mahjong game that woulda been perfect for you.
but i can't remember what it's called. it's been a long time since i used that program. all you need is windows running and you're set. you can still download the game to play.
it uses Guangdong style rules from what I gather, my dad use to play it alot when his hands get itchy for a game.

sent you a reply but i can't send screenshots until i return from the office. games are standard HK rules or 16 Tiles / you can also tweak the settings to select the appropriate rules & tiles / side games such as memory...etc.
it's the most popular series at pacific mall. i don't believe originals are available in north america but nevertheless retailers sell "grey market" discs for $15 to $20 a pop. chinese celebrities challenge your hands and speak mandarin & cantonese.
