u can use wifi on any fone as long as ur noting using a hotspot that cost money..wifi isnt net work dependant

if u have wifi at home and u have this fone it will work fine
Dont be fooled with miss leading info

Yes wifi is independant to your network providor! However, I have yet to get GPRS working on mine though. But with wifi who needs GPRS!?

exactly
stupid rogers hass hotspots setup and charge u a dollar/minute or so
this fone is like a fully featured notebook with a phone

Well, I wouldn't say its like a notebook. But its much better PDA than a Treo 600. Browsing on websites is still much slower than on a full notebook, but its better than not being able to browse the web or check ur email.

If I have in my plan umlimited internet browsing, doesthat mean I still have to be beside a router to catch the wifi or could I be anywhere and still be able to browse? I just don't understand how a phone can connect to the internet and do a full HTML browsing.

how long does the battery last on this thing? with wi-fi on?

cybal
Feb 11th, 2006, 03:48 PM
The WiFi is for surfing the internet when you're near a router or hotspot. If you have a data plan from your service provider, you can also surf the web.

I don't know the exact specs for the battery, but I've had the Wifi automatically on all day without it emptying out.

The guy (xdaexec) who I held the phone for a week for backed out without even meeting. I hate that.

Anyways, the phone is back up for sale again. I'm willing to sell it anywhere in Canada for free shipping if you paypal me first.

PM or e-mail me at Cyberalan2006@aol.com for pics or more information.

thx!

I have this phone! It's great. Standard battery (1500 mAH) lasts around 1-2 days heavy usage for me. Heavy as in 2-3 hours/day PDA usage + 1-2hours/day. Recently, I have upgraded to a 2400 mAH extended battery and I'm loving it. 3-5 days usage now!
