I probably don't understand much about this stuff, but why would you spend like $20000 total in upgrading a $10000 car?

Honestly asking; nothing more meant by it.

Free bump.

hmmmmm, if i drive this car, will it be branded as rice?

Nic0tine
Jan 31st, 2006, 08:52 PM
rice is when people take a jap car, and do dumb stuff..

cheap stickers
fake type r badges
dumb metal wing spoilers that serve no purpose
extensive noise exhaust
crap rims
body kit that doesnt fit
cheap body work
no interior
TONNES of gauges with no engine work
clear chrome altezza style lights

that's rice....
full engine swaps (that have a purpose), air ride (rather then cheap $200 lowering springs, and most dont even upgrade the struts!!!!), full custom fiberglass body work, and acura leathers.

not rice.

i'm usually anti-civic
but this car is done very well
congrats
and sorry to see you have to get rid of it

as a pointer, seeing how you've done so much interior work, how bout some pics? and pics of your system...

EDIT: where's the side mirror on the drivers side?

Nic0tine
Feb 1st, 2006, 10:31 AM
the interior work is still in progress.

it was nice last year, but this year will be even more insane...

fiberglassed and smoothed out the whole interior, moulded in screens, and it's being painted (professionally, like the outer body). not no spray paint spray bomb crap most ricers do...ugh that looks horrible.

very well loved car.

the "body" has 23x,000kms....the body work has 0 kms on it..literally.

almost every piece of the body is new

the engine has less then 60,000kms.

as for the mirror, they are going back on, we just rolled that out of the paintshop to the outside to take a pic.

it's still being reassembled...it's right down to the shell of the car pretty much right now. the interior is just one seat right now :D

the design down the side is sweet, disapears depending how you look at the car......

i wud have considered it if it wasn't a two door and a hatchback :) but seriously it looks sick

Nic0tine
Feb 3rd, 2006, 01:05 AM
ah long

push a button on the remote for the alarm to disarm it, then push it once again, and it automatically pops open for you ;)

then you pull the door out like normal about 10 to 12 inches, then up in the air verticle it goes :D

here's a pic from it last year in one of the shows it won.

OMFG such a nice car... if I had the money I honestly think I would buy it. Sadly I have 4000 lol. Anyway this car is not rice, this is a very nicely modified civic... amazing look

I've always loved this civic generation more than the others

Nic0tine
Feb 5th, 2006, 11:25 AM
yeah..the eg series of civics are by far the most popular.....and the most sought after.

hard to find one that's loved now though, so many people buy them, toss a muffler/clear lights/rims on it, then beat the hell outta them :s

Read above
he said that pic was taken when he rolled it right out of the body shop
its still in pieces getting put back together
so mirrors eventually....

as for ticket....hopefully you don't run into an a$$hole cop

*bump*

It's a nice ride, but it's not going to be an easy sell for that much cash. It's probably worth that much, but then again, part of the fun of modding cars is doing it yourself, which makes done-up cars like yours hard to sell.

You might have better luck selling it to the States as my friend sold his tricked Camry there, after no buyers for 3 months here.

tcc forums is a bunch of ricer kids with altezza lights, that think putting $15 LED washer nozzles, some $50 ebay tail lights, and a lip kit, is going "all out" on a "phat ride"...

i've been asked by TCC owners to be one of their show cars. I'm gonna take up the offer. with the new interior, they said i am by far the most extreme civic on their crew. :D

new pics up!

also, as to that wiki post....

im reading it, it's right.....

most ricers do nothing to engine (the car i have however, was crap automatic when i got it, and dyno'd at a whopping 52HP!!!)..imported a dohc vtec engine, did a 5 spd conversion (new engine and tranny mounts, new bushings, new shift linkages, axels, ecu, etc etc etc)...

suspension...didnt heat or cut the springs. oh wait. there are no springs. air all the way!...and, the best air setup you can get. good ol easy street.

no LED washer nozzles, no "one wiper" nonsence, no japanese writing on the car, no dumb stickers or fake badges...the tribal down the side is hand designed, and is painted and hand masked. no crap vinyl or stickers....

no bright paint interior...it's all custom hand moulded fiberglass that's painted the same as the exterior of the car, all done professionally. not painted in somone's driveway :s

no wings/spoilers

no altezza tail lights

no hood scoops

no crap carbon fiber hoods.

clean clean clean, and well loved.

Nic0tine
Apr 22nd, 2006, 10:28 AM
fiberglassing is endless hours of sanding, shaping, sanding, shaping, sanding, shaping.... i had the body shop do most of it, but over the winter i went in and did a good chunk of the work - wanted to learn how it was done. it's effing hard, and im glad it's not my daily job!!!!

every interior panel had work done to it....even new black headliner rather then the grey crap vinyl honda puts in there.

I did all the work on my car. SHAMMMMMMMMMMMMMME

lol j/k

I would actually really like to know what insurance companies dont ask for an email of the car or send someone to visit your residence to check to see what shape the car is in.

Every insurance company I have delt with has sent someone. or asked for an email.

But in all fairness. Has the car been appraised? becuase if I insure the car I want to insure it for the full value of what it is worth so I dont get a book value price of what the car is worth stock. which is like a couple thousand.

Nic0tine
Apr 22nd, 2006, 01:00 PM
i had the car appraised when it was green, appraised at $31,000.

since the new interior work, the new body, the new rims, and engine upgrades, it should appraise for a fair bit more.

if it doesnt sell, i will be appraising it again after i turbo it. muahahahha :D

CoconutColin

You're car is tastefully done man, Black colour looks so sleek and I applaud you for not plastering stickers all over the windows. I can tell you put a lot of care into this car it's a shame you have to sell it but at the same time it's too nice of a car to be driving on the streets especially with that fresh paint job. Free bump from one Honda owner to another! Let's get this baby sold.

Nic0tine
Apr 22nd, 2006, 03:26 PM
coconut, that's your call...

insure it as stock, or you can even get 2 appraisals done..one for a moderate amount, then one for what it's worth.

if you insure it as stock, it's DIRT cheap to insure. it'll all come down to driving record.

it's pagered, plus a few other security features that i cant mention (and wont untill it's sold)...

hate to sell it, but, that's life.....i just hope i find someone who's not gonna put a metal wing on it, a nasty pile of fake stickers (especially that R-RACING sticker from canadian tire...ew...), clear tail lights, etc..... i would cry >:(

rice is when people take a jap car, and do dumb stuff..

cheap stickers
fake type r badges
dumb metal wing spoilers that serve no purpose
extensive noise exhaust
crap rims
body kit that doesnt fit
cheap body work
no interior
TONNES of gauges with no engine work
clear chrome altezza style lights

that's rice....
full engine swaps (that have a purpose), air ride (rather then cheap $200 lowering springs, and most dont even upgrade the struts!!!!), full custom fiberglass body work, and acura leathers.

Oh shut up. It's a nice looking car. One of the nicest h/b civics I've seen...

RedFlagFart
Jun 12th, 2006, 08:53 PM
coconut, that's your call...

insure it as stock, or you can even get 2 appraisals done..one for a moderate amount, then one for what it's worth.

if you insure it as stock, it's DIRT cheap to insure. it'll all come down to driving record.

it's pagered, plus a few other security features that i cant mention (and wont untill it's sold)...

hate to sell it, but, that's life.....i just hope i find someone who's not gonna put a metal wing on it, a nasty pile of fake stickers (especially that R-RACING sticker from canadian tire...ew...), clear tail lights, etc..... i would cry >:(

all i can say is wow. nice ride man. Although, I would never buy a souped up car, I'd buy it and do it myself. Anyways btw Why cant u mention other security features??

Nic0tine
Jun 13th, 2006, 03:33 AM
cuz if i mentioned them, they wouldnt be security features now would they? :D

as for the 8" diameter crap tire exhaust...

look under my car moron. custom 2.5" mandrel bent stainless exhaust, high flow cat, and high flow muffler (WITHOUT the air traps, which make all the noise, and i still kept the resonator on there, which keeps it quiet, also, if you knew ANYTHING about exhaust and turbo setups, is turbo's reduce exhaust noise up to %50.). that exhaust is pricey. call any good stainless custom exhaust shop, ask them to price out the custom mandrel bent stainless, front to back (COMPLETE, not just from the cat back, or not just the cat and to the tail, but complete, including turbo 3" downpipe). crappy tire, not in this lifetime. and, since when did crap tire have anything that would be beneficial to a TURBO SETUP? go price a greddy t4 size turbo, blitz blow off, tial sport wastegate, custom mandrel bent 3" turbo piping, bar intercooler, fuel management, chipped ecu, with install. go. price it. anywhere in the gta, starting price is 5g, and that's with no fuel management or chipped ecu.

funny thing is, you live in scarlem. you probally drive your moms 4 door neon or 4 door honda accord, and think it's bling, driving around listening to 50 cent on your ipod using a tape adapter. and, you have ron jeremy as your avitar...pretty sad in itself.

You're forgetting that the T4 is just a footprint, he hasn't given any specifics in terms of impeller size, a/r etc. Either way, great looking car, hopefully you'll be able to find it a nice home.

I have to congratulate you on a really nice job that you've done to your car, but I don't think anyone is going to buy a Civic for more than $8,000 no matter how much you did to it. I had a 1997 Accord that was done up and it wouldn't sell for my asking price. So I took off as many after market parts I could and I finally sold it with a full wings west skirt package and lowered with springs and shocks. That was it and it took me almost 2 months to sell. I had to sell it for almost $4,000 below my asking price. I think you're better off parting the car and trying to sell it as stock as possible. That's what I did and after selling all my other after market parts, I've made the $4,000 that I lost on the sale of the car.

Anyways, free bump cause I know how hard it is to sell a done up car.

P.S. I'm still selling my Kaption Amp and 2 10" Kaption Subs in a custom Kaption Box. They're competition subs and amp so they're powerful. They're practically brand new, hardly ever been used. http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=300749

I dont know bro, performance wise, your car was done pretty well, but comestic wise, it looks ricey straight up.

That bumper would hurt aerodynamic of the car and not even good for turbo if you have FMIC. I dont see why you choose that bumper but to each his own. The front end now look like comercial vehicle lol

I give you props for boost that *****

Wow! Nice Turbo setup! Just a question, with 270hp, have you upgraded the brakes? Cause that would be a little hard to tame with the stock setup.

I hate ricers, absolutely despise them. That said, that is a pretty nice car and it sounds like you have put a lot of time, effort, and most importantly money in to it.

Free bump.not much effort in telling ppl what parts you want in it.

Nic0tine
Jun 22nd, 2006, 01:08 AM
huh, he wasnt trashing on my ride..

i hate ricers too.

wings, clear tail lights, noisy mufflers welded onto stock 1.75" low flow exhaust...or..the people who do catback exhaust. thinking it adds horsepower...but, they keep the exhaust stock from the manifold to the cat, plus keep the stock cat. makes no sence.

people are ******** for the most part...

and, no stickers and **** on my ride .... i love the stock cavaliers and sunfires with the "RACING" stickers on their windows....

fun....

Can i ask what those gauges do and where you get them?

BTW sick ride, wish i had it.

Nic0tine
Jul 4th, 2006, 09:57 AM
which gauges?

the ones moulded into the dash under the tv/above the glove compartment are for the air ride system..

first gauge is for the air tank pressure, the 2nd gauge is dual needle for the pressure in each corner of the rear suspension, the 3rd gauge is dual needle for the pressure in each corner of the front suspension.

the gauges on the a pillar right now are boost gauge and air/fuel ratio (both needed for boosted cars). they are VERY expensive autometer cobalt gauges, each of them are like $190. i also have a autometer cobalt digital voltmeter, which sells for like $175.

expensive gauges, but they look flawless at night and they are amazingly responsive....you can get cheaper gauges..but..forget that.

does the door go any higher? looks like it is tough to get in and out from that pic.. specially if you are of medium/tall build.

any pics from the side with doors up?

do they seal like stock doors? easy to close?

270hp, what does it do in the 1/4 mile? and what dyno did you get 270hp from?

Nic0tine
Jul 7th, 2006, 01:07 PM
the doors go that high. and no, it's very easy to get in and out.

im 6ft 1, and have 0 problems.

they seal like stock (take a little more care closing of course), no leaks, no wind noise.

as for the engine..... the SI motor and suspension is one "package" for the car. then of course, the air ride and turbo dohc vtec engine..... so. depends what engine you're talkin about for the quarter mile :D

quarter mile : 12.93 was what it did on the dyno at 8psi of boost. you gotta remember, it was on the dyno getting all the engine timing adjusted/********, the injector timings and values, etc etc etc. the ecu is crome custom chipped specifically for my engine. it's not just a generic turbo basemap. 8 hours on the dyno..

crank up the boost (not good for daily driving), and you can easily pull over 300hp to the wheels no problem..not really recommended for daily driving

i've never tracked it, nor will i. it's not raced, it's a loved car... which is why i worry about selling this car to some random kid. it's a LOT of HP for a small car, esp for a younger person with limited driving experience who will be on the pedal right from the get go, before getting comfortable and getting to know the car.

as for pics, whats on there is whats on there. why pics from the side? there's piles of pics with the doors up, you should have a good idea of what it looks like :D
