how would i post a picture in a thread?

hi all i tried to post a picture in a thread and was stuck. I am not sure how to do it. i clicked on the little button that says insert image and then it opens a little script box where do i go from there?

Upload it somewhere first. E.g. use www.imageshack.us

uplaod it on to a service like www.imageshack.us or www.photobucket.com
