who here saves their change and cashes it in every once and a while?
I have a 2L wine bottle thats a little over a quarter the way full and it has about $60, thats after a couple months. I usually put anything under a loonie that I have at the end of the day in it. My parents do this as well but every day they put in any change at all that they have away, and after about 6 months they had over a grand in change.

from mcdonalds a month ago in my change I recieved 3 pennies from the 1920's, the oldest being 1921. 1920 was the first year they started using pennies the size we know them now(before that they were bigger than nickels).

I just spend it. As long as you aren't specifically spending money to get rid of the excess change, you'd actually be better off (not that it matters much since its such small amounts).

I throw all my change into those little plastic film canisters. One canister for each denomination of coins. Loonies and toonies fit perfectly in those things. And when they are full, I cap them and set them aside until it's time to roll the coins up. I used to put everything into a big piggy bank but found it was such a chore to sort the coins that I never did it. Last time I cashed my change, it was about $175.
