IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO DOESN'T REALLY LIKE KISSING? I'VE NOTICED THAT IT HAS JUST BECOME AN OVERATED NORTH AMERICAN ACT OR MAYBE IM JUST NOT USED TO IT.
ESPECIALLY FRENCH KISSING. I JUST CAN'T SEEM TO GET OVER THE FACT THAT IT'S SIMPLY A FORM OF EXCHANGING SALIVA  WHAT'S SO LOVABLE ABOUT THAT, I JUST FIND IT KINDA DISGUSTING.

MAybe u had some really bad kissers.
And it depends on who u kiss too. It aint always about the 'feeling'. Sometimes its more of an emotional thing.

Don't worry, it'll happen soon enough. :)
I really think it depends on who your kissing partner is. I've had some sloppy kissers, and it really is quite a turn off. Especially if that's all you think is out there. Some kissers just think jamming their tongue down your throat is sexy. Ugh! At that point I just push away... it really is an art. Kissing can leave you breathless and wanting more... or it can make you hold your breathe and be happy that the kiss is over.

maybe...?
1 - you haven't found a good kisser yet. i've dated a couple of bad kissers...going only by them, i would've never kissed again. yuck.
or
2 - my sister seems to not like kissing, so maybe there really is such a dislike. although i blame hers on bad kissers also...she's 16, and i don't remember 16-yr-old guys being all that skilled.

Jeezuzz .. you really have not been properly kissed.
FYI.. when is properly done.. you'll get so aroused that you'll wonder how the hell you ever consider it disgusting.. ;)
... BTW.. Do you consider oral sex digusting???

I don't think there's enough kissing in North American society...
When I had a job in Seville and Bueno Aires, people kissed each other on both cheeks as a greeting. It's much more personal than a handshake especially if it's someone you're familiar with. I for one, love kisses. Just not those sloppy adolescent kisses :cheesygri

DO I EVER!
LOL ... on the girl or on the guy?
I'm not a fan of french kissing either. I find it quite messy sometimes. Normal kissing is great though, nothing wrong with it. Should kiss more and fight less.

kissing can be really gross sometimes.
like if you kiss someone who is a smoker and has eaten a ton of onions and garlic...and steak and you happen to hate steak + garlic breath...
that happened to me a few months ago, I ended up telling the guy I can't stand the smell of onions and garlic and to please use mouthwash......great way to ruin someone's evening...
kissing is only nice if the person u r with has nice breath and smells clean- or at least not like onionz...

kissing is disgusting.
i wonder how many gallons of saliva does the average person consume from kissing each other.

I agree, the idea of kissing is sick. All that bacteria, I may as well lick the mensroom's door knob.

Have any of you actually kissed anyone? If you have, then you're not doing it right.
I can't believe some of the comments in this thread.

It is all about the kisser.
With a good kisser you wouldn't even notice or even think about "saliva" or any of that, you enjoy it.
With a bad kisser it is very noticable and not so much fun

is it just me or does anyone else find the fact that you know so much about the kissing habits of your teenage sister kinda... disturbing?
but hey... each to his own
i can teach her a few things if you like

Maybe cuz your sister compares your kissing to her 16-yr old guy friend. Obviously big brothers are better at kissing.

It sounds like some of the people here need to stock up on dental dams... just so they can kiss without freaking out about some saliva...
At the very least it will protect you from the bad "shove their tongue down your throat" or sloppy kissers...

When I was younger I was not into kissing. I didn't think it was gross, but I was like "meh, not very fun" either.
Found out its more about who you are kissing rather than the actual act of kissing. If I really like a girl I enjoy kissing her. If it's someone I don't have feelings for, then I don't care

I personally think people enjoy it because people who love each other wants to show that they're in love so much that hygiene no longer matters. The more gross something is, the more dirty they feel and it's arousing. What's more gross than having two flaming wet tongue sloshing around in a pool of saliva and plaque? It's the gross factory that turns people on.

You make a good point....
I would compare it to something I experienced back in my high school days...
A friend became inseperable from his gf... (they actually wound up getting married and are still together)... and she would pop zits on his back while we were sitting around playing video games and whatnot... it COMPLETELY grossed me out... very creepy stuff...
Later on in life I had girlfriends where I was deeply in love with them and spent tons of time with them... and you just start to get very comfortable around them. You could care less if they see you naked, if you exchange "fluids" with them (that actually was usually the highlight of any day... ), etc... I still don't know if I would want anyone popping zits off my back... but I could see it not being a huge deal if it didn't gross the girl out and she wanted to do it for me (the caring/nurturing side can come through in people... where they don't want your zit to get infected, etc... I guess??)... I can understand that level of comfort with someone now, where very little about them could truly gross you out.

I can think of alot of things that are more gross... I am not sure if there is a "decency rule" so I won't mention them.. ;)

Sorry Tibs.. considering the theory in the previous post... there is nothing arousing in popping zits... that's just gross.. :D
