I purchased the USB Controller with Double shock from ledshoppe. It came after a week or so with the free led light key chain. I noticed that the USB Controller is used and it didn't come with any CD driver. Plugged into my computer and XP detected it fine without any driver installation however, when I tried to play Need For Speed Most Wanted, the double shock (rumble feature) doesn't work.
I did some research on google and find out that I need to install the driver in order to get the vibration to work. The USB Controller manufacturer is from "CowBoy" and I couldn't find the driver nor the manufacturer's website.
Emailed Ledshoppe customer service for several times for the past few days and no reply!! I will never never buy anything from them, absolutely no after sales service!!

If anyone can help me find the driver for this CowBoy Double Shock USB controller, that would be great!!

I had a great experience with my purchase from LEDshoppe. I would definately buy from them again.

*edit* If you bought the '10 button shocking gamepad', you should note that on the website it mentions: "No Drivers For WinXp Users".

Don't buy any Led light from them. It fakes you.
I have one of the LED headlight from them. It supposes to have 23 leds. But there are only 5 led is lighting.

I email to cs for almost past month, NO RESPOND at all.
GOOD LUCK!! If you are going to buy some stuff from them.

I find it funny when people who assume something they bought are broken when they don't read the product description/manual.

The first line of the gamepad's decription saysNo Drivers For WinXp Users
What do you expect for $12?

Don't buy any Led light from them. It fakes you.
The description says 3 operation modes (incl. 3 selectable brightness levels of LED), press switch to cycle through modes of 3 LED, 9 LED, 23)

OK, maybe it is broken, try to take a picture and send it along with the email. People who have done that in the past got free replacements.

I bought a Bluetooth adaptor and a LEF flashlight from LEDShoppe. They have been great so far. You simply can't beat the price.

If you e-mail them the past few days, they are in chinese new year holiday, some company have 2 weeks off for this major holiday.

Me and my friends bought lots of item from them, never have any problem at all.

I bought a USB Infrared adapter from LED Shoppe, I seemed to have got a defect, I told them about it, and then they quickly sent out a new one without much difficulty, and it worked fine.

I would deal again with them in the future.

I bought something from them and had no problems with their product (bought a usb hub) so I disagree with the statement not to buy from them.

(I would buy from them again).

I had problems with LED shoppe too. They ignored all emails, I sent 3 over 3 weeks. I got CCnow involved. CCnow responded the same day and said they would look into my complaint. "Surprisingly", LED Shoppe responded to my complaints the very next day. They said they would ship replacements and asked that I close my CCnow complaint.

I replied that I would close the complaint when I was satisfied the repalcement items were ok. LED shoppe replied again saying the items would not be shipped until I closed the CCnow complaint so I forwarded the email to CCnow. 2 Days later, a mamager at CCnow sent me a copy of an email she sent LED shoppe telling them to immediatly sent the replacments and that they would only close the complaint when I was satisfied. The next day I received an email from LED shoppe with a tracking number........

To make a long story short.....email CCnow with your order number and a brief message detailing your problem.

Man, can't you guys read what I wrote? The USB controller works fine but the vibration feature does not work without a proper driver is installed!

http://cgi.ebay.com/Double-Shock-Controller-10-Key-USB-Game-Pad-Blue-PB1B_W0QQitemZ8755110224QQcategoryZ74943QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem

I found the exact controller from ebay and it should come with the DRIVER CD. Again, I am not saying the controller doesn't work and I am just trying to warn you guys about their poor after sales service!

If you received your products from Ledshoppe and they worked fine, of course there won't be any complain.

dcw888
Jan 29th, 2006, 04:14 AM
I shouldn't say poor after sales service. I should say there is virtually ZERO after sales service!

If you have any problem with your products after you received it, good luck on getting any response from LEDSHOPPE.

[QUOTE=dcw888]Man, can't you guys read what I wrote?

No. Can you re-word it so it will make sense to us all (because we are all dumb)?

I looked at the item and the FIRST point listed "No Windows XP Drivers". Translated - buyer be warned. Assuming that you read ALL the details before you clicked the buy it button, you knew this already... What would you say to them when making a support call? Are you going to demand that they find and give you the driver that they never offered on the first place?

If the one on Ebay has it, you should have bought that one instead... BTW, thx for the posting, you reminded me that this was the place that had BT dongles for $10! I just bought two items from them...

Ledshoppe is OK. Their products may not be the finest in the world but they are cheap. If you got the odd ones that are not working they will replace them. Just be patient.

.....well did you read my post???? (I'll put it in point form for you so it will be easier for you to understand!?!??!!?)

-LED Shoppe did not reply to 3 different attempts to contect them until CCnow got involved.

-Led Shope responded by trying to force me to close my complaint with CCnow before they would ship replacement items.

-WHen I told them I would close the complaint after I was satisfied, they simply refused to ship.

-I had to get CCnow to intervene again to get LED shoppe to ship.

Does that sound like customer service to you??? Maybe from CCnow but not LED shoppe. I'm sure a lot of you have had good experience from LED shoppe, but did your items arrive in working order? Have they broken? Have you had to contact LED shoppe for any sort of support at all?? For that matter, how long should someone have to wait for a reply?? 1 week?? 2 weeks? 4 weeks?? A responsbile business deals with customer complaints/problems right away (1-3 business days) not after a 3rd party has to step in. ie: You all remember DVD Soon don't you???????

Judging by the amount of people who had a good experience in dealing with the LEDshopp (myself included - just read thru any threads on the vendor in the hot deals section) - comparing them to DVDSoon - in ANY way - is a bit much.

Even Tigerdirect (which has crappy customer service) is way better than DVDSoon.

i dont really care about that, and 10 bucks seems a good price, even if there is no shock

I like Ledshoppe. I ordered about 7 times and had no problems so far.

Once my SD Card reader didn't work, I wrote to Ledshoppe and they replied within couple days (not weeks) and said they will send a replacement. Great service! Very happy with them.

Quotes from their website:

"No Drivers For WinXp Users" = It means you don't need driver for WinXP Users, it's not a user beware warning.

"For use with PC Windows 98/ME/2000/XP"

Eventhrough it didn't say it will come with a Driver CD in the description, but
how can you say the gamepad can function with Windows 98/ME/2000 when there is no Driver CD or provide any kind of drivers for download?

"Support Double Shock" = How can you say it support Double Shock when there is no driver provided?

Again, I am just trying to warn you guys about ZERO after sales service from LEDSHOPPE. If you still love them after reading this post, that's fine by me. I am not here to start a Thread fight with anyone of you.

I ordered from Ledshoppe many times. All my items arrived in working order except once.

Have you had to contact LED shoppe for any sort of support at all??
Yes, one of the SD card reader didn't work probably. So, I emailed Ledshoppe

how long should someone have to wait for a reply?? 1 week?? 2 weeks? 4 weeks??
I got a reply in two days that they are sending a replacement. I can't ask for more from any company.

That's your own opinion. For the prices I pay, I love those flashlights. So far I got the LED/Laser one, Hand cranking one, the jerk-off flashlight, the 21 LED flashlights etc...They all work great.

I also bought other computer input devices like the Bluetooth dongle, SD readers, USB HUB etc...great gadgets.

I have such a good experiences to buy from Ledshoppe, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my family and friends.

Even Tigerdirect (which has crappy customer service) is way better than DVDSoon.

If I open up my own store, with 150% restocking fee and no return policy, even on DOA's... and 100% for credit card surcharge, $100 surcharge for any debit card transaction, and sell second hand items pretending they are brand new - my store would still have better service than DVDSoon.

I ordered from them before. They do seem to be hit or miss. Over 50% of the time stuff seems to work as they should. Whether thats acceptable to you is your personal opinion.

A LED head light I got from them works fine. But a hand pressing LED flashlight broke. I opened it up to try and diagnose, and even though their website says NO BATTERIES, there were 3 button cells in there.
The flashlight was "only" 8USD, but thats like 60bucks HKD.

Anyway, not only did it break, it doesn't even fit product description.

Like I said, it was a hand pressing one with a dyno in it. I supposed there were caps in there that might be recharged by the dyno. At least thats why I figured thats why they said "a couple minutes of pressing can power the flashlight for hours". Until I found that to be a lie.

Sorry to bring this back, but I wanted to note that the SD card reader I bought was great, I use it as a USB drive with my SD card.

One more thing to OP, if you actually took some time to look around their website, you will find in the Bottom left corner it says, "Drivers Support".
I just downloaded it to check what it is and apparently it is for "USB Vibration Joystick." I don't know if this actually makes the controller vibrate or not but you have not said anything about this in previous posts so I assume that you didn't download and try this!
