hi guys i live in Canada and i was just looking at amazon.com (USA) But i am not sure how it works, so if u have experience or and detail about shopping from them, pls share it with me on this forum.

Q: If we have to return where we go to return that stuff or we ship it back?
Q: How safe its shopping on their site?
Q: How much we pay for shipping approx?
Q: Do we have to pay Duties?

Thank you for taking and putting your time .

Is there a reason you'd prefer amazon.com to amazon.ca or chapters.ca? If you order from the latter two, you wouldn't have to worry about paying duties/tax at customs.

I looked at both amazon.ca and amazon.com but for me amazon.com is the best and amazon.ca sucks due to its limited choice and higher prices compared to amazon.com. so if anyone can share their experience from amazon.com i will really appreciate that.

thanks.

Huh?

Q: How safe its shopping on their site?

As safe as ordering from the Net can be.

Q: How much we pay for shipping approx?

Q: Do we have to pay Duties?

No. Amazon.com packages are shipped within Canada for Canadian customers. No taxes, either. You're being very wise in looking at A.com as well, as their prices are frequently much lower than their Canadian counterpart, though it does take longer for A.com purchases than A.ca purchases.

You don't pay duties/tax with A.com, either, and anybody who orders from chapters is wasting their money. Last time I shopped at Chapters was about three years ago & haven't looked back since.

Keep in mind that if you buy from Amazon Canada you get free shipping if your order is over $39. There is NO free shipping from Amazon US to Canada, and you pay both a charge for the order and an additional charge for each item as detailed here:

Amazon shipping rates to canada (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/596192/ref=br_bx_c_2_0/002-0986217-2852807)

So if you're buying 1 DVD you would pay a shipping charge of $3.99 + 1.99.
If you're buying 2 DVDs you pay $3.99 + 1.99 + 1.99. In US$ of course. That's standard shipping - expedited is more expensive.
