I bought some Pure Energy XL's from Walmart, 2100mAH. The XL series is meant for digital cameras and stuff

:!: Pure Energy Batteries are not real NiMH rechargeables!!!!!

Stay away from them, they're merely rechargeable alkalines. Completely different quality from NiMHs, they won't hold a charge as well, and won't last as long.


For a good price on *real* NiMH's, Tigerdirect.ca has a 4-pack of Ultra (that's the brand name) 2500mAh's WITH a 5-hour quick-charger usually for anywhere from $20 to $26. Great quality, I've used them to much success.

Factorydirect.ca also sometimes has a deal where you can get two 4-packs of Digital (that's the brand name) 2100mAh's for only $20. I've got a ton of these laying around that I use in my Walkman and Digital Camera, and they are also very good.

I checked Wal-Mart, and they had a 2500mAH set of 4 NiMH's for 26.99 with charger.

Seems the best, to me.

blacks has a noname brand like optex or something, always selling for around 10 bucks. I get sony 2500's for 11 but that's specially at a wholesaler...
