Not sure where you're located, but going to a really nice restaurant with a great view would be great. Like panorama or canoe in toronto. (i've been to panorama and its pretty nice). For gifts, flowers are great...i've also received cute stuffed animals (especially if she likes a certain kind of animal)..a fuzzy blanket with his nick name for me embroidered in it. The best date i ever had wasn't when the guy did one great thing..but lots of little things and kept surprising me with stuff.
Good luck!

can you cook?? Make a wonderful dinner, candles and the whole bit. Don't forget the flowers. Strawberries dipped in chocolate are cliche, but what woman in her sane mind would say "no" to chocolate?? :)
Run her (or both of you) a bath and float rose petals in it. Champagne to sip while relaxing in there would be nice if you drink.
Write her a poem. Nothing is as special as a few words from your heart down on paper. It doesn't even have to be good, us women just like the extra effort of something personal.
Cute Valentines placed where she could find them throughout the day. In her car, under her pillow, inside a book she's reading, etc
A great cuddle on the couch watching a romantic movie together at the end of a busy day.
There's a wonderful book called "Erotic Massage: The Touch of Love" by Kenneth Ray Stubbs. Some good Valentine's day ideas in there ;)

LOL
It's just a list. The guy needed ideas. I know there are women out there that want their guys to go all out.
Me and hubby don't do Valentine's day. I told him not to bother and that we'd just call it even and put that money towards a 50" TV. If I could pick flowers or a tv, I'd pick the later :)

Boy, those are amazing ideas.
This would make me happy: If my gf/wife puts on a sexy lingere, then wraps herself in a BIG red bow.... and says "I'm yours"
Hehe... okay, I'm easy.
