Using rogers hi-speed lite and noticing some weird problems
downloading some pdf files and notice that i can get like 70KB/sec and 20 secs later, with another file, i get only 3KB/sec (and it's STUCK there)
some files even timeout while other files i'm getting in mere seconds
what gives???
and msn keeps kicking me off!
(i thought it might be my wireless router (DI-524 w/ WPA enabled), so i'm plugged into the router right now. Still same problem

for your other files , are u downloading from BT??
if so there is a thread going around about rogers throttling ports.
Thats the cause of the 3-4kbs downloads..

Try:
- unplugging the power to your modem
- wait 30s
- plug back in
- unplug router's power
- wait until modem is fully connected
- plug in router again
- restart computer

Change your bittorent port to 1720. It's the one they use for VOIP so they don't choke it off. Watch your rates skyrocket again!!!

Mind if I ask what website? Does this happen with other websites?

no problem
looking up filings on sedar.com
also noticed my msn logging in & out every so often before the reset. Seems fairly stable after the reset.
