Anyone know the average time for a basic laptop to be built and shipped? Just woundering on a rough time if I purchase it on friday of when I might get it.

Friend of mine ordered a "basic system" and got in 7 business days.

I ordered one and it took about 3 or 4 weeks (higher end model and at a different time in the year).

Both I and my friend live in Vancouver.

When I ordered my laptop, it was built 2 days later, and I got in the mail 2 days after that. The whole process took 4 days. I ordered on Monday.

i ordered mine in December...it took 9 business days...

A PDA I ordered earlier last year only took 5 business days.

I'd budget 10 business days to be safe...that way you won't be too disappointed if it takes too long.
