not sure if this is an "error", but if u take a look at their latest instore/online flyer, it states that this Acer 20" LCD TV goes for $800 reg. price - $200 IR = $600

HOWEVER, if u look online, there's an extra $80 MIR !!! (NOT advertised in flyer apparently)

stooples ($600): Acer AT2001W LCD TV/Monitor, 20" (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?webid=629197&affixedcode=WW)

$80 MIR: http://staples.rebatestatus.ca/displaypdf.aspx?1bzHx/czlxvBYk60U8X4VXolAiHERwbeSqfEqD7M/TAtNr9Zi0+f/A==

$80 Easy Rebate*!
*Expires January 31, 2006.

use a $30off200 and a $20off200 coupon to drop it down to $550

and then there's an $80 easy rebate... so $550 - $80 = ~$470 + tax!!! (after online coupons and MIR)

the $30off200 coupon was found in another thread posted by taile and u can use any $20off200 coupon found in to_munda's latest stooples $20off200 coupons thread (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241489)

800X600 resolution
500:1 contrast
16ms RT

... very poor performance... not worth the $500 IMO...

add another $150 and get a new 19" LCD from FutureShop with WAY better performance...

Dont be confused here, this is a TV not really a computer monitor. Unless you are blind the 800x600res is going to drive you insane.

people think LCD TV's are the same as LCD monitors. They are not the same and you can't compare them exactly. Apples and oranges etc...

LCD tv is built with tv tuners, video inputs taking different signals, viewing angles, video processing chips, etc. A monitor is NOT a TV. Simple as that.

Acceptable quality on PC, but horrible resolution. Decent quality for TV Signal but little on the laggy side on the menu

use a $30off200 and a $20off200 coupon to drop it down to $550

and then there's an $80 easy rebate... so $550 - $80 = ~$470 + tax!!! (after online coupons and MIR)

Thanks for the heads-up on this MJM, and to kwokwing for the mp3 info.

Does the EasyRebate take the pre-tax price down, or do you pay tax on the $550 = $632.50 and then get rebate after for a final price of $552.50??
I haven't used Staples' EasyRebate before, so I'm just wondering how it works.

Thanks

Don't be fooled by Staples. It's even cheaper when it's introduced by Staples a month back.

u pay tax on the $550, and then submit the MIR; so it's actually $550 + tax - $80 MIR

anyway, it's actually not as good a deal as i thought it was since Ilikethisdeal just pointed out that it was cheaper a while back....

Well, it's not bad because this time you can get the MP3 for free. Just for the sake of comparison, the MP3 ~ $20 price difference of last month and now.

well, that's good but i've seen mp3 players go for as cheap as $30 or less some time ago...

it's not impossible, but these are online coupons specific for online use only.

u could try tho...

i've heard that they do work instore... but YMMV.

it's usually based on descretion of MOD/SA

btw, why wouldn't u wanna buy it online?
u can get the free mp3 player

it is oos online. I prefer to have $20 off than the 128mp3, or you can stack it on top of the $20+$30 coupon?

i think it's either coupon + free mp3 player coupon, OR just 2 coupons....

no stacking of >2 coupons (there are some exceptions)
