Threads by creation in Hot Deals

We added this a few weeks ago now, but since I haven't seen it mentioned:

We've added a "Recently Created Threads" box to the right sidebar in the Hot Deals forum that shows you the most *recently created* threads in the Hot Deals forum.

We're looking at adding it as a sorting feature, but are first looking at possibly upgrading the forum software. (Which is somewhat complicated because of several changes we have made to the VB software...)

Adding the ability to sort a whole forum by 'most recently created' would be awesome. That way we dont have to see the first three pages filled up with the same crap just being 'bumped' over and over for months on end.

Great idea... Should implement it in all FS/FT forums too. I used to browse AT like that before they upgraded and removed the option. It really helps with forums that move quickly.

I know the new vBB version supports it out of the box (sort by creation date, sort by last reply date, etc...)

Excellent idea. I actually came to this forum to suggest something very similar. I would love to be able to come on and see new 'deals' quickly, not just new 'posts'.
