Laptop: HP vs Gateway vs Acer

Which brand is better? Or, does it matter?

When it comes to warranty service, I wouldn't want to deal with Acer. I know you will need to ship the HP laptop to get it serviced. They didn't have local repair depots before, maybe it's different now. No clue about gateway.

Acer's Repair Centre is in the same city I'm in.. They once told me I can drive over and drop it off to have serviced and pick it up within a day or two
