I have a ati 9800 pro agp card and already using 2 crt monitors on my computer
What do I need to use 1 more crt monitor ? to have 3 monitors running at a time
I need a inexpensive way like maybe a pci card, if so what pci card do I use ?

Any PCI card should do, as long as it supports the resolution that you plan on running on your 3rd monitor. Don't expect to do any decent 3D stuff on it unless you plan on spending a bit more money though. That's probably the cheapest way for you at the moment.

Some motherboards support both AGP and PCIE cards, that might give you more performance but that's pricey.

You could also think about a workstation card with 3 outputs. Again, expensive.

Just about any. I have a Rage128, it works. ;)

That depends on the number of outputs that the new card has...

Should be fine, unless the drivers from the two cards have a problem with each other.

Would it be better if I got a ati pci card ?

Why do you want/need to use so many monitors anyway?

Well depends on what you need it to do.... basic desktop/text stuff is fine, if you're using overlays or 3d it may be a bit more problematic.

Another thing to keep in mind is that finding drivers for these weird cards might not be easy. Never heard of Hurricane before myself, but I had a somewhat harder time than usual finding drivers for a couple of old PCI videocards

Just for the fun of it. I have been using dual monitors for acouple of years now and cant go back to just one monitor so I want to see how much more fun it would be with 3 monitors.

Any recommendation on a pci card ?

I use whatever I find around the house, but after going to 3 I went back to 2 since it was just not that much fun. Way too much space for what I needed.

all i have to say is try and stick with the same chipset manufacturer cause having drivers from 2 different ones can and most likly will cause poblems.
