From all the 5 megapizel Canon cameras, I have no clue which one to choose! my price range is limited to 300 dollars, used is an option! Help a digicam newbie!

Is buying from the states an option?
That would increase the 'bang for your buck', so to speak. =)

A used Canon A95 should be under $300. Wal-Mart has new A95 priced for about $348. A95 has been replaced by A610.

Walmart had the A95? Would never have guessed. I may have to go by and pick one up. I was looking hard at the A95 and then it sort of disappeared off the market. Canon is stopping using CF cards and I don't want to swap over to SD, so the A95 is the best point and shoot around that still uses CF

Be *VARY* wary of purchasing electronics, especially a digital camera from Ebay.
I highly recommend not going that route.
you had past experience??
And yes i saw a95 at walmart also a few days ago!! but still over 300 in price. is a95 and the a610 the 2 options that are better made from canon than the other 5 megapixels that canon has to offer?

jeez, you make it sound as if Ebay is the retailer. perhaps you meant "be very wary of purchasing electronics from ebay sellers who are based in Brooklyn, NY". Ebay is just a marketplace. fyi, i've bought camera stuff from ebay with confidence. sellers like photocenter1, prodigital2000, henrys.com all have B&M stores and are quite reputable.
