What is best and cheapest way to input the audio into the computer?
I really like something like this
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=1647944&sku=G105-1000

but $200+ is a bit rich for me...is there anything comparable to this but cheaper

I just use a 3.5 audio cable hook it up to line in on my sound card and headphone out on any audio source and record via any sound program. There is a freeware one, audoligy(sp) or something like that should do. No need for any fancy hardware. Unless you need super clear audio, since your soundcard input will have some line noise.

I vote for this ... Can't beat the price of this method !!
