Hi

I am having a problem with the sound output on an Asus P5P800 with integrated SoundMax Digital Audio. There IS sound coming from the speakers; however, the volume is very very low. Everything is at it's max in Volume Control and SoundMAX control panel so I'm stumped.

The speakers do work fine on other computers so I don't think the problem has to do with the speakers.

Any suggestions are greatly welcomed, Thanks!

I think it's the latest driver(5.12.01.5150)

I'm using the speakers from my old computer:
HP/Polk Audio "E" stereo speakers

have you tried headphones?

yes I have, but it hasn't made a difference. The sound is still low when the volume level is at its max.

I updated the drivers and still have the problem.

I have that motherboard, but i dont have this problem
double check everything that has to do with sound on your comp.

try control panel & go to sound and audio devices maybe?

I'm not sure if this is the case, but try jiggling the plug a bit. Maybe it's just not connecting at the right places?

I've had that issue on my own computer. =S
