Should I start the obligatory "what dealers would want MDG junk" that would spiral this thread into the obligatory and inevitable MDG-flaming abyss?

Wow, did you check those amazing prices? I am so driving up to Ontario to buy MDG's to resell for profit. All I have to do is go in parking lots in a white van and talk to people, I will become rich, damn hell rich!!!!

yeah i am pretty sure resellers wouldn't buy MDG junk to resell. I mean unless they want to go out of business in a hurry from all the warranty and tech calls they will have to deal with because they sold a piece of crap MDG instead of building a quality computer.

Bought from them 6 years ago (I was still young), went to the store near McCowan and Sheppard. Horrible service! Stood inside the store and stared at the salesman for more than 20 mins, and he didn't seem to care. Computer broke in 3 days (mouse port not working), they refused to repair it under warranty because I opened the case and installed my own soundcard. Had to fork out another $200 for a motherboard... Most of my friends who bought from them had problems with their service also. Dealers if you want crappy products and poor service, buy from them!

I don't think I want to deal with them again!!!

I just saw the Steve Nash commercial, and I am so damn disappointed that he would do a commercial for MDG. What was he thinking - he needs a new manager or agent. This commercial will just totally ruin his credibility for other commercials.

I wonder what they'd say if you told them you want to keep the x300 :|

MDG is with out doubt not only the worst computer seller in Canada but also purposely will decieve you to get a sale. I work in IT and I can tell you a whole bunch of stories about the crap quality of MDG products. I know for a fact cause i have seen it with my own eyes - they use refurb and used parts in new computers without informing the person buying. I have seen new MDG computers that come with dust on the RAM or Heatsink - it was obviously pulled from a working system. Not only that they use crap components to begin with. There is also the bait and switch techniques and selling upgrades at way higher amounts then they are worth.

Their support is horrible. I have a friend who is manager at a computer store and they are always getting under warranty MDG systems in for repair because MDG tech support is so difficult to deal with or they just refuse to fix a problem.

Run don't walk away from an MDG system. It can never be considered a hot deal let alone a deal. You will get screwed in the end.

kinda makes me mad to see Steve Nash, our MVP of the NBA is doing advertisments for these guys...

steve nash equal dependable, 110% on any given night in the NBA

mdg equals unreliable, lucky to give you 10% within the first month of owning...

however, love him or hate him, VC would have been a better poster child for MDG...

looks good on the outside, will give you exceptional performance (on very first use), but will end up on the disabled list (refurbished list)...

Does it mean people who try to negotiate a lower price?

LOL, really LOL!!!

If dealers are not allowered...couldn't the dealers "friends" but it for them?
I know people who do that in order to buy other brands from other stores and resell them

but the new saying should be "Friends don't let real Friends buy MDG"

A long while ago they had an ad for trading in your old CPU for a new Pentium 200 mhz processor. I traded in my 133 mhz Pentium Pro and guess what I got back in return?

A Cyrix M3 233 Mhz... Not actually much better than the pentium pro that I had... I didn't know at the time and found out much later... Pentium = Intel... They lied

They also forced me to buy a new generic ****** ass motherboard, which broke down after a few months of use

Never will buy from those crooks again

Hi there,

Come to think of it, I repaired a friend's computer from MDG and I wanted to format and reinstall, but couldn't do it. I figure what the hell was wrong with it, but after looking into further, MDG compressed the Hard drive, making it attificially bigger (though after I return it back to normal status, it was far from the specs label). Man, they sucks.

Did anyone even file a complaint to the BBB or a lawsuit for their shady pratices or even send off a warning to MarketPlace ot even Consumer Reports of stuff like that.

I think the true crime is they used a "gif" image rather than a PDF for their flyer. I had to save the image then zoom in on the low res thing to see what they were really offering (not that I was interested). I think that alone shows how technology savvy they are.

Hey MDG, most people have Adobe reader installed with a browser helper object to boot so you can zoom in inside the browser!!

got a pc from them 4 year ago, great price/performance back then.

computer ****ed up after 1 year, had to take it in about 5 times before they found out it was bad ram. charged 100 for ram. charged 4 time b4 the ram for FORMATING 90$ a pop. i was like WTF i could format it myself, if it needed a format y the **** would i pay 90$?? they just looked at me like "i dont know why did u".

Never going there again, NEVER!
