Since EB usually doesn't have a flyer, you're left with having to go in-store to find the deals.

Last year, there were all kinds of discounts on used titles, and a bunch of games at $0.99 (last year it was red faction, onimusha, and a bunch of others).

The question I have, is does anyone know what time EB opens on boxing day? For the life of me, i can't remember what time it was last year.

I regretted not going in last year. There was a line up but no ads so I thought the people were nuts - but then I heard about the deals and regretted not popping in.

Is this nationwide? Any good GBA games by any chance?

Yes, i believe all EBs do it. And i'm not sure if they put up any $0.99 GBA games, last year it was only xbox, gamecube, and ps2

The thing is, last year i found out in advance about the $0.99 games, but for the life of me i can't remember which board i found it on. So i was curious if there was anymore this year.

Also, the question is still open, if anyone knows what time they open on boxing day?

Yeah, having one close saves the trip. With me, walmart, EB, and Zellers are all within a minute or so of each other. So it makes my major boxing day hits quite easy.

I've been trying to track down if any deals have been leaked on EBgames for this years boxing day. Sadly, I haven't been able to find anything.

Though my post is slightly off topic I figure I'd pass this info along anyway:

EB Games in the States and now that includes the former "Game Stop" stores as EB Games has bought out Game Stop, regularly have used games for as low as a buck. As well they often discount their used controllers and accessories to as low as a buck.

Whenever I am in the States on vacation, any time we pass a store we stop in and rummage thru the bins.

Usually we get rewarded for our efforts! :D

My kids have picked up a ton of accessories:

- car adapter, hand grip with Ni Cads built in, screen magnifier and flourescent light kit etc for GBA for under $2 ea - some items as low as a buck.

- lots of Dreamcast stuff incl: jump packs, VMU's, keyboard, mouse for a buck.

- Psone controllers, memory cards for a buck.

- N64 controllers, vibration packs etc for a buck

- GB colour battery pack, low resolution camera kit for a buck

and the sports games for Dreamcast & Psone for 99 cents.

HORRIBLE FRICKIN DEALS THIS YEAR!!!! ;_;

A bunch of random games at $10, that's all. And they were all old titles.

The only decent thing i seen was Act of War for the PC for $10. But i'm sure that game is budget anyway

That sucks. That was one of the few stores I was planning on hitting for sure.

For anyone into videogames. Did you notice how HORRIBLE all the boxing day deals were this year? I couldn't find a single good one anywhere. (other then snagging Genji for $10 on Amazon.ca)

Last year I remember coming home with like 10+ games. This year I bought 2

I found a couple of GBA games I was looking for over at Amazon.ca. Certainly not zany deals, but some in the $9.99-$11.99 range, as well as NFL 2006, which I hadn't found on sale.

What does a used game cube go for at eb games to buy not sell.

Dec 26th, 2005, 02:21 PM
The main sale bin at markville said "as low as 1.89"... the only thing that low in there was a pack of pokemon things and one crappy xbox game. Everything else was $10. There weren't any gamecube games in the bin, only xbox and ps2.

Found absolutely NOTHING at all at EB.

Some old games were going for 19.99, but other than that, everything was basically regular price.

Here they had a couple of games at the same price as Amazon.ca's boxing deals... not bad!

EBGAMES SUCKED THIS YEAR!!!!!!! :(

I went to two and they had crap, only a few very old titles for $10. And I tried to get some games on sale at Wal-Mart and they were all sold out. This was such a horrible Boxing Day for me. :(

I'm not into PC games. But I think City of Villains for 19.88 at Scarborough Town Centre was a pretty good deal.

I saw quite a few boxes. But it was this morning.

City of Villains for 19.88 did catch my eye (brother paid over $50 for it last week). Also Killer 7 for $9.99 Gamecube & PS2. Plus they had a few 360's in stock (KP winnipeg).

I went to the EBGames at Dufferin Mall and it was pretty lax. The bargain bin had some el cheapo PC games, many used games and about 5 new games. I saw Unreal 2 for the Xbox for $5, Killer 7 and Viewtiful Joe for $10 new.

What really caught my eye was elsewhere, they were selling City of Villians for $20 and the Collector's Edition for $40.

I would've picked it up if it wasn't for the monthly fees.

Edit: Forgot. EVERY SINGLE N-Gage game is only $2. That's great for the 3 N-Gage users in Toronto.

There was one at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines as well. Which is odd, since i've never seen it that busy in my life in that store. What were all the people going for????? Then again, alot of people get new systems at christmas, and go out for new games the next day (not caring about deals)

I was at Markville today, and saw a guy hold up people going in line even though their family was the only ones waiting outside.

LOL

It's pretty obvious headquarters told them to "try to hold people outside for a few minutes at least" and "to make a viewable line outside the store to attract customers", lol.

Yeah, pretty weak sales at EB.

I only picked up Act of War DVD Edition because I'm an RTS fan, but everything else was full price it seemed.

I got e3 2004 dvd for 1.99 .. 4 discs full of videos and game interviews.

EBgames didn't have too much on sale ... i wonder if they'll ever get
rid of those 9.89 games .

Which Eb location in Van was this?
I was at the metro one when it just opened, and I could have swore I saw it for $1.88~

The only other game that caught my eye was Viewtiful Joe (PS2) $1.88~

I went to the same EB as you, and the only games that cost $1.89 were for the N-gage.

Too bad more MMORPG are not free.

Does anyone still play games on an Ngage with all those portable consoles around? ;) :D Really, just wanted to know.... but 1.99 a game, that's a good deal since those games were so expensive "back in the days".
