Wal-Mart is usually not the coveted store to hit first thing on Boxing Day morning, but by early afternoon the parking lot and lineups at the till are a zoo. By mid-afternoon, the shelves that had Christmas cards and decorations are empty.

Nice price on the Gamecube... looking for one of those. $69 at EB Games used so to me that's a pretty good price... $59 would be a Super Hot deal. (I assume that is for just the base unit/controller and not one of the game bundles.

Hmm, not much out there for reviews on this unit. Only thing I could find was that link you provided. Not sure what model they are bashing on though. :confused: I guess a flash-based model would be "less-delicate" although I mainly just wanted to use it for XBOX 360. Maybe 2GB for $129 is too good to be true?

If walmart is carrying Philips then for sure Philips isn't the company that they used to be. Seems like a good price but be wary because it is hard drive based which means moving parts which means more chance of something going wrong. Check the warranty on this item (90 days or 1 year?).

The 100 pack of Maxell DVDs isn't that great of a price. They have been around 29.99 the last couple of weeks at BB and FS. Not worth waiting in line to save $2. I would rather pay $2 more than to shop at walmart. Don't even bother looking for MIJ, there won't be any.

Are they really serious calling $2 off a 256 SD card a "Boxing Week Blowout". They actually have this item on the front page of their flyer like it's some kind of big deal. I think that i'm going to camp out at walmart tonight so that i'm the first in line to save $2 on an SD card.

Overall the walmart boxing week blowout gets two big thumbs down. Don't waste your time unless you want to watch the chaos while 700 people jockey for position at the return desk.

I also saw 100 spindel Maxell dvd-/+r Made in Japan for $27.77

Yes Wal-Mart will be opening on boxing day Monday. The opening time depends on the store. I assume that it will open at 8-9, as this was the time they opened in pervious years.

Hey guys, Wal-mart problem here. :mad: I went to the Wal-Mart in Bolton and Orangeville and most of these sales were not even in effect. The only thing in the video game section that was on sale was the gamecube and gameboy sp... I wanted to get Metroid Prime 2 and a wavebird controller but they rang up at regular price and the guy said he could do nothing?!?

I thought these sales were nation-wide... kind of confusing when they have an ad on their website but I go in store and they are "not valid". Can certain wal-marts elect not to take part in these sales?

went to orleans wal-mart.. madcatz controllers were literally all over the electronics deparment. In random aisles, boxes, underneath things, on shelves, it was crazy. The video game accessories section had been raided; no wavebirds (what I came for) were left, almost everything was either gone or in a pile on the bottom (for gameboy, gamecube stuff). Tons of Gamecube systems left though.

I bought the $95 Cyberhome one at Walmart today, haven't opened it up yet though. I did find some positive reviews of it online, I just want something basic for now. Thinking I might get the cheap one at FS if they still have any because I have a gift card for there, then return this one. I just wanted to grab one though, they only had 2 in the store I was at, and they didn't have the sale price marked on them, but did scan ok. They had lots of the Symphonic vcr/dvd recorders for $190 or so.

I got a Symphonic tv at Walmart last year after Christmas and it's still working great.

I also picked up 'The Hulk' and 'Bruce Almighty' today @ Walmart for $5.00 each. I was a tad disappointed I couldn't find a WIDESCREEN version of BA though but for the $5.00 I took a hit and picked up the FULL SCREEN. They also had 'Peter Pan' and 'The Cat In The Hat' still in stock at the same price but they didn't much interest me. The store looked like it had been picked through pretty good by the time we arrived this late afternoon.

I went to the Midland, Ontario Wal-Mart store this morning when it opened at 7 am and they told me they didn't have the 100 pack of Maxell DVD's.
But the Barrie and Orillia stores did.
The department managed told me that the Midland store was a "hometown" Wal-Mart (smaller) and so it had a different flyer, which he showed me.
Of course, I was pretty displeased.

^got this Soccer Table at the Markville Wal-Mart today for $49.99, last one there, anyone see these or any good air hockey tables(i'm looking for one of these) at other Wal-Mart stores? they might be on sale too, price wasn't listed for mine but game tables were on sale last year but we weren't able to get one so we asked someone to check the price and it ended up being $49...
And this table isn't like those cheapy ones(i had one of those and the rods got all bent) the players for this are nice and the rods are nice and sturdy, so its a pretty good table, especially for $49.99...
Also, any stores still have the wavebird? went looking for that and ended up buying this...

Man, I was there on Boxing day, it was crazy around the DVD sections, but I didn't bother looking... $5 for some of those titles is pretty good... I have to go tomorrow and return a bunch of crap so I will look then. I bought the Wireless controller, last week, just before they even released the flyer here, so I went to get the difference back, they won't do it, so I asked, then, can I return it with my receipt and then buy it back, and they said no, once I return it, they can't resell it to me??!??!?!??!
So, sometime tomorrow, Walmart in Chatham, will have a wireless controller in stock! Of course, they only had 3 to start the sale!
If people are looking for some good deals on PS2 games too, other than the titles listed in the Superstore's flyer, I was in Windsor yesterday and they took any games with a green tag on them and marked them down to $9.97. Various titles, prices originally around $20!

I just bought a few DVD's for $10 each (though they said 2 for $20).... but you can just buy one for $10.

Anyhow they have a whole batch of Anchor Bay stuff:
Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, the Original Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead (uncut), Hellraiser, Hellraiser 2 (uncut), A Better Tomorrow, A Better Tomorrow 2, and some others. I think it's decent since they are usually $15 - $20 for Anchor Bay stuff at HMV/Futureshop.... I think.
