Hi I am a newbie here.

I am most likely going to buy a big screen tomorrow at futureshop...........

unless you think it would be better to wait untill after christmas.

You should shop or a big screen after the superbowl since that is the end of the season for TV sales.

Mike... Just make sure you get a 90 day price guarantee. So if you see it lower they will give you back the difference.

They are telling me they have a 30 day price gaurentee?????


Too bad I just missed out on the 57" Sony for $1799.00 at their freind & Family sale......now it is $1999.0

But you won't know if the model you bought is going to be on sale? The worst case scenario is a better TV goes onsale for less.

Do you need a TV for the next few days? Maybe you should wait for boxing day and see what's on sale. But also keep in mind that the door crasher deals usually means you have to line up early and there are always chances that you'd miss them.

any advice on great big screen TV deals seen thus far? I'm looking for a 50" projection TV. Good quality, good price. Any deals?

Well I'm happy with my Sony Wega 55".

I bought it last week at the Brick and yesterday got them to credit me $741 after bringing in BestBuys Boxing Day Flyer.

So it went down to $2999.00

If I did it again though I would probably get the 60" for $200.00 more.

where do you see the 60" for $200 more?

Futureshop has the 60" priced at 3200.00. But just show that price almost anywhere (or get it from FS) and they will match it.

I did not get the stand that comes with it. I picked up something similar for $300.00 It does not lock into place like with the sony stand, but I have more component space. So suits my needs better.
