2nd post~~
Costco got a 32" LCD tv on sale for $1250.. called the store and they said it's online only deal
i ordered the TD kolin $819 32" LCD last week and still backorder today... they said they will have stock on Dec23...
should i cancel that order and get the viewsonic? got a review link... anyone tell me which one is better? I am also considering the Acer 32" LCD form staples too for $1199.
Viewsonic Price: $1250 *1.14 = $1425
Kolin Price: $919 * 1.14 + 60 = $1120 - $100 Rebate

I have the N2750W and I dont like the speakers, even when muted it makes a hissing noise. You might have the same problem with the N2350W.
Im taking mine back and exchanging for a Daytek 26"

Why would you get any LCD screen for the speakers? just hook it up to a stereo and shut the tv speakers off...

Probably because thay want to use it as a secondary TV? I know I'd be using this one upstairs with the speakers only. 32" is too small for a main TV.

This is not a good deal!
actually , it is a bad deal!

well, the speakers do suck, with no way to minimize the hiss...but the picture itself, with the right connection of course, is exceptional..

Because of the 3 units I got, all of them had at least 2 BURNT or STUCK pixels.
Because of the 3 units I got, all of them had HISSING speakers.
Because there is only a setting for 16:9 or 4:3. There is no Zoom feature or Pana view.
Because this unit plain sucks.
Because Viewsonic is balling them out and Viewsonic even knows these LCDs suck.
Because I said so.
Enough BECAUSE?

Interesting theory...
I'm pretty sure most people have less than a 32" tv, and manage to get through life pretty well.

But they're all living a lie and are nothing but husks of real people pretending to be happy.
Seriously. Xbox 360, NFL HD, Movies - you need a bigscreen.

I don't see what the problem here is, most sets are allowed to have so many burnt/stuck/dead pixels before it's considered an issue and 2 is hardly a problem.

okay, for the price fine. Use an external set like someone above mentioned.
Because there is only a setting for 16:9 or 4:3. There is no Zoom feature or Pana view.
I agree, but again price vs. performance.
Because this unit plain sucks.
Uhhh-huh

Really? Reviews give the colouring pretty decent and for the price, beat out all the other competitors. Probably can't out perform the Olevia HV'E' series though cuz the E is the sh1t.
Also I don't think a company rolls products out expecting that they are crap...
Because I said so.
Riiiight, you're absolute.
Enough BECAUSE?
Sure, why not?

Hahaha, your existence is nothing without a big screen HDTV to complete it.

Lol, I've seen this display in person running 720P content over HDMI, and it's amazing. Don't know what chuck is rambling on about.

Um...it just came out, how in the world did you get it already? We are not talking about the older unit for $850. In fact the $850 one was great value for the money. Try doing your research instead of blasting something that is good value.

My memory could be wrong, but I remember seeing the N3250W on the Costco website (not in store) for many months. I think it was around about the same time the N2750W was the big rage which would make it about March. *EDIT - checked press release - it was only released in July so either I was confusing it with the N3250 or the 32" Daytek (most likely) being available all the way back then.
If you check RFD, the earliest post mentioning it is in late October stating that there was a price drop from $1499 to $1399. Now of course we have a further price drop.
So, even if my memory is completely wrong, this unit has been around since October - and likely longer since it went through a price drop in October.

Buddy was mentioning his 2750 and I got caught up in the moment.
I still stand behind what I said earlier. But I direct it toward the 27" model only and not the 32" model.
Please don't be hating. It is just my opinion. [for the 27" model] ;)

You're probably right. But with my past experience with the Viewsonic LCDs I wouldn't even go near the 32" model.
By the way I am not a Daytek fan but isn't it selling for $1199 @ COSTCO?
$50 cheaper. Probably better sound (unless VIEWSONIC fixed the Hissing). Can't have any more burnt pixels then the VIEWSONIC.?!?!?!
Do you think it is fair to pay the same for burnt pixels then someone that does not have any?

On December 19 around 7:00 PM I went to the new store of TD in Etobicoke. and guess what?!
They have *23* kolin 32" LCD TVs in stock!!!! the price on shelf is 1114 CAD but on the boxs it had a sticker of 819 CAD. so I went to the saleperson, and asked him for the lower price - and got it! (he told me that he will take a tv forhimself as well)
I got it for 919 CAD and 100 in mail rebate. barely I could put it in my small golf, but the switee finally had found it place.
While I was buying this Tv, someone notice that I got the cheap price, so he grabed a device for himslef as well, so now there are 21 TVs in stock.
I drove all the way from north Toronto to their store and it was worth it!!!! one of the best deals in town for the past whole year.
This tv is $ 500 CAD less than the cheapest that you can find these days, believe me I done my research. TD removed the iteam from their website since I believe that they wouldn't be able to supply the histeric demand.

I purchased this television and its excellent - great features and value for the money! Don't knock this LCD unless you own one... If you want more component outputs, better speakers or a more stylish plastic casing, go ahead a pay the $1k premium to get a Sony or Panasonic.
Viewsonic has been making LCD screens for years and years so don't be put off that it isn't a "name brand television".
Also, the batteries that came with the remote control are labelled "Toshiba" so I imagine it uses a Toshiba tuner.

Sorry, forgot to write the size, I assume all red flag deal addicts like me knew that the $850 meant the old 27 inch model.
I was saying that the 27" inch model rocks for the price/value that you get.

To me either model seems to be a good deal, spec for spec both these models are similar to the Samsung 32" LCD (http://www.samsung.ca/cgi-bin/nasecabc/en/b2c/product/product_detail.jsp?LoginFlag=NO&prod_id=LTP326WX%2fXAC&prod_path=%2fConsumer+Products%2fTV,+Video+%26+Aud io%2fTV%2fLCD+TV) I paid $2499.00 for 8 months ago, albeit the Samsung has some specs which are better, but for $1200 - $1500 less who cares. I guess I would need to see them side by side.

Fact of the matter is, all LCD displays will have some burnt pixels one way or another. It's really unavoidable.
Not sure how to comment on the Daytek display. Has anyone seen it before? Daytek has historically been pretty mediocre but maybe it's gotten better?
