Unfortunatly you are about 2 weeks too late
The US celebrates Black (Sunday?) , the day when all the stores go from being in the red to black and they have big sales etc... They wont know what boxing day is :)
Check online and see what stores Price match, im sure L.A. will have no shortage of stores to browse

Kingmax is a Tw. company and they produce a lot of memory products. I have no personal experience with them but have no doubts about their quality.

A little more mainstream, but Costco is selling a 2GB Sandisk Ultra II card for $99. It's pretty fast, I use one and I'm pretty happy with it.

Non-Costco members can purchase their products via. Costco.ca and I think they will add 5% more to your final price...
Anyway, I think the Kingmax 150x is pretty good deal.
