Hi,
I just signed up for a correspondence class a couple weeks ago and just got my books this week.
I thought I'd be getting DVd's to watch some course material but instead they are still using VCR tapes at Athabasca University!!
So, after paying $700 for a class, they still haven't converted their course material to DVD's yet!
Where can yet get a VCr thesedays?
Do they still sell them at Walm@rt?
if not where's a cheap place to get one?
Ebay shipping fees would just kill any deals out there.
Maybe Giant Tiger sells them.......I'm in the Ottawa area so anything local only.
Thanks!

Canadiantire.ca has a mono VCR for $50 and they're shipping free this week. I've seen a Stereo at Zellers for $65.

Wow!
I thought they would have been way cheaper than that by now- hoping to find one for $20-25 maybe as they no longer make VCR tapes.
At this rate I might just go to the library abd borrow theirs.

walmart has 4head stereo vcr for $60 and a vcr/dvd combo for $80. Both are obscure brands.

Beleive it or not, but if you're from the GTA, try SDM and Fortino's. I've seen them carry VCR's for as low as $29.99.

damn, if you want, I'll sell you my JVC VCR (just bought it a few months ago) for $50, straight up. It cost around $80 or something at FutureShop.

You should be able to find some el-cheapo VCR's at Wal-Mart, I saw one ~$40 awhile back...

You could always check on your local freecycle.org Lots of time if you ask somebody will have one that they don't want anymore--best of all everything there is free.

Wow!
Thanks for the great tips everyone.
XS cargo is near me and $29 is a decent price for me.
I'll check the Freecycle first as I'm somewhat broke! :D
