Well I'm not sure if its hot or not but the reviews I found seem good and for the size of the screen 8.5" is what I think it actually is it seems pretty hot. I just bought this at Sam's club. I believe the model number is 1080, last year's model I believe, not sure that really matters for simple technology.

Does anyone have one? Anyone heard anything good or bad, or has anyone seen a better deal on a Portable DVD player?

It comes with a car charger as well.

Purchased at Sam's Club in the GTA.

I don't a know about the quality of the Kawasaski products but Sam's club only has a 1 year return policy on all electronics. Costco's return policy is much better.

Shouldn't that be a motorcycle charger?

Sounds like a good price for a 9" screen. I bought a 7" Akai at Costco for $119.00.

How is the Akai? I'm in the market for one. The 9" seems like a good price but there's no Sam's club in GVR.

polaroids are nice,, costco has the 7 8 and 10" sizes, $149, 199 and cant remember the other,, but they come with headsets, bags, batteries, and adaptors,,, pretty good deal,,,,, only better deal is ebay as you can get the 7" model for about $110,, which I missed out on last night, plus the paypal coupons were still valid,,,,, oh well, keep shopping

The screen resolution is not that good. They were showing Polar Express on it when I went in last weekend and I could not easily read the menu options onscreen for the dvd.

Sam's return policy is great though. I had bought a portable dvd from them earlier and returned it 11 months later when it broke down on me for a full refund! :)

Yea, but try returning it 13 months later, they won't accept it while Costco would.

It is actually a Christmas gift but I looked at it in store . . it seems pretty good but if it were for me I'd wait a bit till the 10" models come down in price. Actually I bought the Akai at Best Buy rather than Costco.

Do the Polaroid ones at Costco have the swivel screens? Those would be cool. I would also prefer getting an 8" or 10" if the price is right. Those are still too pricy.
