Just got The Source flyer, saw this GPS unit on sale at $449.99($150 off).
Include bonus: detailed Canadian map loaded on SD card, also include base map of North America(not sure it's in SD card or internal memory).
Not hot but at least a warm deal. Link below:

Looks like:

It's easy to use with turn-by-turn guidance with voice prompting, mapping data for the U.S. and Canada, Magellan Trip Planner, true mobility, plus exceptional GPS accuracy and reliability.

Um...that would involve RENTING A CAR to use it. I think he already owns a car.

LOL. That was not my intention ... just a point of comparison. That's what they adverstised at The Source. They are coming out with a new version which reads the names of the streets too ... so I think this is why this one is on sale.

he he :) I find street reading awful, I've tried out a few...trust me, it can't read street names for beans :) You'll just get confused and read the screen instead.

I can just image it reading the road names in Quebec or Montreal - rue de la this or rue de la that... eventually it will just say "rue" "rue" :D

I know...it's awful for French street names...but it even has problems in English!

Looks like:

The Source ad says that there's a bonus "Detailed Canadian Maps" card.

I just wonder if they just have highways and not city streets if you don't have the "Detailed" version of the area you're looking for.
