Available here as well. I've had one Lexmark unit. Poor quality front to back and the ink costs are criminal. Unless you need the ink that comes with the unit (cheaper to buy this than the ink itself!), pass.

Hmmm.. this would be cheaper than buying new ink cartridges for my mom's old Lexmark. OOS in Ottawa, I'll have to check in store.

It's funny because she has 2 or 3 old printers that are piling up in the basement because a replacement was cheaper than ink :)

I do not believe it is a price error, since it is a clearance item, hence out of stock almost everywhere. :D

Lexmark gives away their printers for free anyways.

I was at the Stooples grand opening in Thornhill On this morning - got there 15 mins before doors opened - I was passing by and stopped in for the 49 cent dvds and the free ream of paper, had a couple of free Timbits and a free Timmy's coffee.

Anyway - it was absolutely hilarious - people were fighting over the doorcrasher HP digital camera, the refurb PC and the GE corded phone - they had very few takers on the doorcrasher Lexmark all in one printers - just about everyone in the crowd was complaining that Lexmark consumables were a rip off and that their printers were crap. So the word is getting around!

Just called the Kanata location. There system says it's only available at the distribution centres, not in store, so looks like only the people in the praries will be able to get a hold of this one :)

You have to watch out tho .... Most Lexmark printers (especially the low-/mid-end models) come with only 'moderate used' ink carts ... A beautiful name for something used to be called the "Starter" ink carts. They do NOT last ...

I have to agree with most in this thread and avoid Lexmark inkjets like the plague. The quality is usually only so-so and the replacement inks very expensive.

I picked up a Canon IP2000 when the Source had them on sale for $30.00. It works great and the compatible refills can be had for next to nothing on eBay.

$41.97 here in Alberta for me; I think it's because of the fee they add on 'recycling mandatory fee.' I'm going to pass, too...

instock but i'll pass.

Lexmark IJ's are so $$$ to replace.... :|

btw, this is likely not a price error; more like a clearance item b/c price ends w/ a "7" i.e. $XX.X7

Don't expect much from a budget printer. If anyone thought spending under $50 dollars on a printer would give them good quality and performance, think again! For what you paid, it *did* print didn't it? And that's all you should really expect from a budget entry level printer. That said, personally I think Lexmarks are one of the best printers from the midrange models and up. Spend the extra money for a midrange model and then you can start expecting decent returns on your investment. ;)

And Lexmark ink does not cost more than others. So I would have to disagree with all of you who think otherwise. If you haven't noticed, not all cartridges are the same size, so you actually get more ink with Lexmark cartridges. If you work the math, the fact is all ink cost the same depending on the resolution. It doesn't matter which manufacturer it's from.

A lot instock here in Vancouver but I'll pass it as well. If Ebay can't sell it (no cartridges) for $1, why bother to buy it.

If anybody is in the X-mas spirit, I will trade an original receipt for any Lexmark X printer for a book of postage stamps. You can e-mail me at

How well does refilling work with the cartridges ?
