Just a quick question.

I was reading on a Roger's high speed forum that the ports accessed for Bit torrent applications are capped so that you cannot abuse downloads, however, guys have reported that you can change the port to increase the speeds immensely.

Is this true for bell sympatico? If so, how do you go around it without causing problems? I just find sometimes that my downloads are often slow (30k's max) regardless of what I download.

Could anyone provide some insight to this matter?
Thanks!

Never had this problem. I've been downloading at max 530k.

I've gotten pretty close to my limit on some torrents with uTorrent. So it's fine with me. I do have my ports changed rather than using 6889 etc...

I'm on sympatico...... never had any problems..............yet....always download at max speed........ ADSL rocks! I don't care if cable is faster..... I found ADSL more dependable

well if you're on ADSL you're not sharing your connection with anyone... so it has to be maxed if you fine the right seeder
