What do you see as new trends for 2006/2007 timeframe?
I see VOIP as becoming more mainstream, Baby Boomers starting to retire thus driving healthcare industry needs, and outsourcing specialty services to continue to grow ....
How about your thoughts on trends....?

Well, hopefully less of the teeny bopper fads. I'm getting tired of seeing 200 ipods a day. Other than that.. who knows.. more people drinking pepsi instead of coke would be nice.

I predict more online content/purely online applications. The Internet is really starting to pick up now and it's start to achieve its potential. You can sort of see this change with AJAX and Ruby on Rail applications and I think this is only the start. Some of it will get overhyped (much like how dot com companies were inflated and over hyped), but eventually we'll get something good.

I think many fools who bought Google at over $200USD/share will lose their shirts.
I think you will be able to download full movies and play them on Ipods, which will result in a huge increase in the number of people requiring corrective lenses, from trying to watch movies on a 2" screen. :o
I think fuel will go back over $1.00 / Litre and stay there.

1) Companies will no longer make CRT computer monitors.
2) SUVs finally start losing market share to cars.
3) Many new homes will use ground-source heat pumps for heating and cooling.
4) DVD-HD recorders will start to replace VCRs which will soon disappear completely.
5) The housing market bubble will burst.
6) The Canadian dollar will continue to grow in strength against the American dollar.
7) A major American car manufacturer (Most likely GM) will file for chapter 11.
