If I was to rent a game, lets say I pay $5/5 days for a PSP game. And if I like the game, can I buy it from the store and use that $5 towards it?

I think you can at Blockbuster.
Cuz you can do that with their DVDs

You can do that at Blockbuster. Although it's $8.99 to rent a game there.
