View Full Version : Who here has bought online from Canada computers? Thoughts?

For one, the accept EMT, which is very convenient. Two, some of their prices right now are just too good to pass up. Plus it saves me from having to go out and get it and deal with the rush now. But I notice their shipping is only ground, 1-6 business days.
For the people who have bought online from CC, how did you find it? Good communication? Fast shipping?

if ur relatively close to one, i say pick it up, that way u can check it out to see if its okay, not open box etc. even with the xmas rush and all, its better to check it out urself. havent used shippng with them so i cant comment on that.

I've never had anything shipped from them. however, i mainly do my shopping (in-store) at the Waterloo CC, by far its been good. i'd recommend them, however i've seen an anti-CC thread on RFD, better take a look at that and ask the OP why he/she feels that way.

if you have access to a car then just visit their warehouse location -- phone first and tell them which promo you want to purchase and they can bill you whichever method you prefer. storefront CSR are in the front, warehouse pickup on the opposite side (because it's a one way driveway).
CC is a good place to shop if you know what you want and are willing to handle your own RMA. in the past they're not known for their quality service and bungled returns/exchanges in the past. i do recognize improvements at their college & north york location; not much improvement but better than those "old college clan" who ate their noodles at the cash register.

I ordered $800+ worth of stuff on Dec 7 and paid via online-banking - I email them Dec 12 and two days later they reply that they only now verified my payment and it should be shipped out next day.
The next day they call me to say one item is out of stock and they can ship it out right away if I don't want to wait (and they'll include a check for the difference) - I agree to this. (This was a week ago)
I email again 2 days ago and I have yet to receive a response, on top of that their (905) # used for online shopping issues is constantly busy too - when I got through an hour ago and chose '1' for 'Sales/General Inquiries' it just rang and then asked me to leave voicemail.
I'm never buying anything online from them again.
Edit: I just called them and finally reached someone and they said it's ready to ship and they'll email me a tracking # and I should get it tomorrow morning. I don't get it, were they waiting for me to call and complain? Unreal.

Well they shouldn't say on their webpage that payment is processed within a few business days and shipped out a few days after that.
I didn't receive anything on Friday and they haven't replied to emails and their Sales # keeps going to voicemail (expected on boxing day - but - it was the same last week too).
