What's with people and stringbags?

I go to a high school where everyone and their mother seems to be carrying a string bag to school. I don't get why you're carrying a string bag to school with all the books and papers you have to carry.. since it would cut into your shoulders and what not.

But I guess there's a correlation between how little homework they do vs whether or not they carry a string bag...

a lot of people have those have these bags at school including me .. its like a gym bag.. carry your deodorant, hair brush, tshirt , shorts ... our school sells them as a form of spirit wear as well, sponsered by nike

I don't mind if people use them as gym bags, but when it gets to the point where I can see all your books just weighing you down, it looks kinda stupid...

u don't have to carry jack in high school, some notebooks, some binders, stick em in your locker.

either way, how does it affect you why they use em? it works for them... theyre the ones who are burdened when they gotta carry all their textbooks home for a project...

Haha, I'd show you them man. There's at least a dozen on my bus alone, not to mention all the people sitting on the hill sporting a string bag. Then you have all the posers carrying one around. =P Oh chinese people. =(

IMO they're a 'fashion-statement' like the iPODs and the LV bags.....btw I think they're very uncomfy and those ppl must be crazy to be carrying their books in 'em :(

these bags that people are wearing are usually like nike, timberland, rocawear and so on, i don't see why people wear it :confused:

They're "stylish" I guess. They're mostly worn by girls who skip class and don't have any work to carry around. I'm generalizing here of course. I apologize to anyone who has one who doesn't fit this description :lol:

Those bags were used for Christmas gifts when I was a kid lol. Not Timberland ones but that style of string bag.
