First of all, wrong forum (belongs in computers section).

Secondly; turn off hardware acceleration in your program, then you should be able to take screen caps.

Yeah in windows media player go to tools -> options -> performance tab -> video acceleration turn it down to NONE.

Now hit printscreen and then paste it in photoshop or something. crop

better way.

Get Media Player Classic (http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/). Then go File->Save Image

(however certain renderers can't save images see Options->Playback->Output for more details)

SS what's on your desktop? You can just use print screen button on your keyboard and paste it into any graphic program (eg Paint)

BTW why is this still here and not moved to Computers section yet?

PrtSc button should copy the whole screen to the clipboard, and can then be pasted into the appropriate software. Shift+PrtSc does the same with the current window.

There's a nice program called Fraps that I use to take screenshots and video capture in games. It's small and runs in the background, and the trial version has enough options to make it perfectly useful. As a gamer, I also like having it display the Frames Per Second (FPS) during gameplay.
