Had a poker night at my house last night.... first hand almost got blown out of the water.... dealt 2 kings... flop was two aces and a nothing card. Turn was a nothing card.... river was another ace. I check on the river, opponent bet about $3000 (we start off with only $5000 each) - I called... With an Ace - King full house.
Opponent had 4 aces. Good think I didn't go all in.
That hurt!
But over the next few hours I got back into it and did the same thing to him at one point. I had a four of a kind (5's) to put him out of the tournament.
Our buy in isn't that much - only $5 each.... but it is a fun night.

Played Texas Hold'em a couple of weekends ago and won a $180 pot. Buy-in was $20, with nine people at the table. I was in the final 2, going head to head with this one player who played it tight all night long. Frustrating as hell to play against someone like that. I had to chip away at his chips...no pun intended. :D

I think you should clarify the $3000 bet is actually in chips, not actual cash. :cheesygri
