I see the infomercial on Proactive all the time, the infomercial is soo well put together... i might just belive them that it works, but before I do I want some feedback, does it really work cuz i mean if Sean John Combs (p.Diddy) and Jessica Simpson use it, it must be a miracle. Right?

works for some, doesn't for others. It's nothing specail really, just good advertisment. You can buy similar medications for a fraction of the cost.
I would advise going to your family doctor (or a walk in clinic) and get the dr there to prescribe you something...it'll most likely be more effective and definately much cheaper. Plus, most people have medical insurace, so it's free for them or highly discounted.

worked for me. i originally went to a dermatologist, but the perscribed medication always dried my face and it was flaky. after a year i bought proactiv and it does get rid of quite a few zits, but more than anything it makes your skin feel great, and for that alone it was worth it. no dry or flaky skin anymore...it's no miracle cure but it helped me a lot. try it, you have nothing to lose.

No, just because it's endorsed by a celebrity doesn't mean that the product works. They can be easily persuaded with a bag of money.
As for Proactiv, the product does work. Is it worth the price? I don't think so. You can save money by buying the individual components at the drugstore. All it is is an exfoliating facewash, a lotion, and a toner. For the facewash, you can get a product called Apricot scrub from Laboratory St. Ives. It'll help exfoliate and give you a thorough clean just as well as the one that comes with the Proactiv kit. There's also a medicated version of that product that contains salicylic acid to treat acne. You can also replace the facial lotion with basically any that you like. I prefer the ones from Aveeno. After applying the lotion, use a benzoyl peroxide acne cream (make sure it's alcohol-free) lightly all over your face (even on areas that do not have acne). This will treat the acne present and help to prevent new ones from appearing. I don't find that the toner is neccessary at all, but it depends on your skin. There are many toners on the market.
Hope this helps.

Yeah I too was once watching those infomercials and was wondering whether this ProActive product really works. I had watched it so many times..until it got to the point where I'd figure I'll give it a shot thinking....you know what?...if it doesn't work I can always cancel the order.
Funny thing too it was my first purchase from one of these infomercials.
Believe it or not... it does work....using the ProActive product did clear the blemishes and pimples that I had and makes you skin feel better. Even had people noticing the change.
I would definitely recommend people to try this product out before even going to a dermatologist. I went to a dermatologist and he was prescribing Accutane and if you do a little research on that and its side effects you wouldn't want to use it either. Interesting but true is that I couldn't find the doctors note prescribing the accutane product....must have been a sign.

Like some of the RFD'ers have mentioned above, you'll save some money if you buy the components individually. Proactive is capable of charging so much because they have portray their brand as being "special," when the formulations are actually just common things you can find for cheaper.

it didn't work for me. Funny thing was, I ordered thru their website at the special rate they were offering..it took like two weeks and I still didn't receive it so I called in to complain and they said they will sent me a new one. Next thing you know, I got the one I originally ordered and the one they resent on the same day. Anyhow, tried it, didn't work, resold it on ebay and made a profit. :cheesygri
I think that l'oreal one works better the clear zone or something. It actually felt more refreshing

It works. But dont be like other people and think its a magical cure that will make it go away instantly. Itll take time and how well it works depends on the person and how severe teh case is.
