DONT DO IT! If someone steals your PIN and Cardnumber all they have to do is have a magnetic strip programmer and they'll go the bank machine and take your money. No protection! I wouldn't do it.

Agreed. You're pretty much screwed if theres any dispute after the money is sent.

Say you purchased something at the local store with your debit card. You find out that the item is not to your satisfaction (defective or something) and you wish to get a refund, but the store refuses. Can you go to your bank and tell them to reverse the transaction? Now think of this online..
Or
like someone mentioned, if they steal your pin.. once the cash is gone its gone, unlike a credit card. *corrected* its like EMT, however even EMT pretty much has like no protection.

Only thing debit cards is good for is for companies to target younger kids/students who dont have credit cards.

they don't get your card number, account number, or PIN. Just the name of the bank you use and a transaction number.

There is no charge back like a credit card.
Of course, there is no reward like a credit card.
There is no reason to use this service if you have a credit card.

It's not a bad idea for people without credit cards (kids, those with bad credit, etc.). People said Interac wouldn't work when it first came out, but look at it now. It surpased Visa as the most popular non-cash payment.
