yes Kaytee, they did update it yesterday. I sent them an e-mail on Sunday and another one yesterday telling them that there are a lot of pages on pre&baby that have a p&p keyword box but the picture wouldn't load on it. The page that I sent them was http://pregnancyandbaby.com/pregnancy/Baby-Checklists/index.htm
I also mentioned that I couldn't find the 50 and 100 pt words on that partner so I assumed that they 'empty' boxes would be those words.
Hopefully they corrected the 100 pt word box too.

I e-mailed them this morning about the 2 that didn't work, the 4 sites that have old 250pt words and it's the second time I e-mailed them to find out if pregnancyfashion, celebritybabyscoop and pregnancy calendars have 5 New Year Challenge words in them. Sometimes I get a response right away, other times they don't bother to respond.

Some times I dont check this list for days, so there may be up to 20-30 words. That means at least 4 hours in between.

I got a reply! I'm not going to bother to paraphrase it. "I was originally misinformed. Pregnancy Calendars has only the weekly words and apparently Pregnancy Fashion does not have all of their hunt words up. Celebrity Baby Scoop should have the hunt words, but I have someone looking into this. We are also working on finding out why Pregnancy Fashion doesn't have all of the January hunt words. I am so sorry for the confusion! I just learned of this today. I will get back to you regarding the outcome of Celebrity Baby Scoop."

I'm not wasting my time looking for them until I know they're actually up on the partner sites.

The 4 - 250pt words haven't been fixed yet and I nothing was written in the e-mail as to when they may be fixed.

Less than a week left for the contest, and they admitted they were slot getting words up? Then what's up with the people over 9k points? I got no other explanation other than they either cheat or are insiders.

They should come up with a better explanation on this.

When I posted this, I did not mean to suggest these were New Year Hunt Contest words that were missing. To find Finagle, click on More Articles at the very bottom of site then pick any #. I forget where the others were. I tend not to write down where I find each word.

The system is automated and knows which words to count towards the hunt, but if you would like I can look into the winner’s account. I will have to look into the number of points that person has and how that is obtainable. I honestly don’t know off the top of my head how many points and possible."

maybe the people who have soo many points are using some kind of macro or something that automatically inputs 5 words per hour (or keeps guessing till it finds new words?) I have heard of people using this but I have no clue how to use it or where to get it but on the other hand I am not that lazy that I cannot input the words on my own and not cheat for the points. I have 5955 points for the Jan contest I am on page 14 . I did come in 4th place though for the pumpkin carving contest but only 1st 2nd & 3rd place wins a prize.

also in the past there was a bonus word or 2 worth lots of points ex: 3000 & 10000 points (sun & moon I think) but the person who found them was not supposed to share it with anyone & P&P dealt with by either taking away the points or posting it on the main page for all to claim but I can not remember what they did maybe they still do that I don't know, some of the older members of P&P might remember this, it happened within the last year or so.

As far as me being one of those people with so many points. I got my points the same most people here get them is to look for them as well as come to this site. Now if I find words that have yet to be posted I will post them but if They have been posted there is no need for me to repost.

Now on another note as to how many points I have since sept, since some are wondering (maybe I should not of shared my point total, silly me), I have not picked out any prizes since june. So my points are sitting and racking up whenever I add them to my account. So no need to look into how I got my points I got them the same as everyone else. Sorry to disappoint anyone or make ya wonder...............

Thanks for all the new words! I spent useless time yesterday and found nothing new. Kept finding the New Year's contest words but could't find a Valentine contest word for the life of me. Got very frustrated and gave up.

I'm not questioning the total amount of points that a person has. Points are also periodically available by voting in contests, submitting recipes as well as a lot of other ways. I'm ONLY questioning the points balance that some members accumulated from the New Year challenge. Thousands of members spent hours and hours searching for words but in the end, the winner had more than 1400 points than most of us. Where were those words that s/he found that none of us could?

I do have MORE POINTS (244045) than you and have collected from all the PARTNER SITES as well as this site alone at times. I also enter contests and vote on contests! SO in short nothing about MY point total is questionable even if I have been collecting in less time than you. 50 points here and there add up really fast. (not trying to sound as arrogant as it reads). I also said that if I find words that have yet to be listed I will list them, but that has not happened in a while, but I don't use this as my only source to get points because I don't like to just use everyone elses hard work just to get points. I would rather look and TRY and find some myself.

ok, this is weird. I clicked on the link and it brought me to the right page but the keyword box I saw was for the 200pt word APACE. So I hit the refresh button and the word changed to CERISE. I thought I was losing my mind so I clicked on the link a second time and lo and behold, I come up with APACE again. I clicked on refresh once and it didn't change. I clicked on it again and it changed to CERISE again.

here is how to fix it. You should have received an email with a url in it.
When you click on the url, you get an error.

To fix the problem, locate the part of the url with your email address. There should be something like this: email=youremail%40yahoo.com

Change the %40 to @ so it will instead read email=youremail@yahoo.com

I've been trying to save the location of where the words are found because I've been told that they re-use the pages on the message boards and on the partner sites. I know it's true about the message boards because that's where I've found most of the words. Last month I had about 1/2 of the locations on the partner sites and it helped me to find more words this month. But I don't have the location of these words:

This question is probably really dumb, but I am new to P&P and I am kind of lost.

In terms of the Valentine's Day contest, I found 49 words on the Sheknows forum...that wasn't so difficult...just time consuming...

But, how do you guys go about finding words in the partner websites. Each of the site has literally millions of different links. How do you find just FIVE words? I found some of them, but once I find them, I keep on seeing them everywhere I click. It's so frustrating.

Is there any kind of pattern? Any insight will be helpful!!

The 5 words that came from Entertainment (hereos, scifi, pulsating, expletive and charity) are all 25 points. The Entertainment words are always 25 points but I was hoping when I found them that they'd enter in as 50 since that's what they were written as. oh well.

Moderators edit old posts to add words. There is no simple way to find w/o crawling the site and hitting everything. There are programs available that will automate that for you.

LURIDNESS is another new word... Seems this one was just posted in a reply message on 3/12 so it seems the words aren't all up yet, or weren't at start of day.

Including the 5 from Kaylee there, I count 19 (23 with below) words so far for forum words. I'm not sure of trisanna's words. They look like newsletter words that I've seen.

By my lists there are still 2x100 point words not found...from sites Main Street Mom and Pregnancy & Baby. No luck yet in finding them though!

Main Street Mom always has only 4 words, though it is typically the ten pointer that is missing, not the 100.

Same thing with Preg & Baby. With that one, the 50 pointer is showing up where the 100 would. (twice)

Its like GeoParent with only its one or two words.

I wouldn't waste your time searching on those two/three sites.

Its more like another site or two we're not checking has words, not an existing site.

They are well aware of many forums that post their words. One quick proof is the change in their regular 250 words on partner site, from simple gif file to flash. I posted the fixed link to the file so it updates automatically when they change it. Soon they came up with flash version.

I can almost guarantee that 8665 will not be the final/winning/top amount for the challenge.

I've posted all the forum words and the words on the sites of friendly sites they've mentioned they use. Yet, still, last month the bulk of people who entered all the words entered here were still off by over 500 points if I remember correctly.

I just noticed that 8665 is the party place, not 8655. One can clearly get from 8640 to 8665.

Wait a minute! What happened with the old contest? What was the top score and when did it come in - two minutes to midnight on March 31? And when it arrived, was there suddenly no longer 100+ people in top spot or did they all find the last word? What was the end result of all the debate over so many people having the same top score?

About two hours before midnight east coast time one person entered two words for 100 points each. Well, I saw score of +100 from the gang, then another 100 points added after that. So I'm not sure if the first word was 100 points but in the end they ended with 200 more than the rest of the 4-5 pages of folks. When I checked the following morning, there was that one person, and then the rest of us. I have not received any bonus points that I'm aware of. If they split the 70000 points for 2nd and 3rd prize between the 200-ish people, that would be 350 each. Not much to miss....

For the exact reason why you see the somewhat complete list of words above so quickly and complete, I've come to the conclusion that I highly doubt it. I used to think the same myself that they must have a private area they are looking in. I really do not think so.

Its the same reason why I can say with a strong degree of certainty that there is no fifth word on Preg & Baby or Main Street Mom and only two words on GeoParent.

For the exact reason why you see the somewhat complete list of words above so quickly and complete, I've come to the conclusion that I highly doubt it. I used to think the same myself that they must have a private area they are looking in. I really do not think so.

I don't think they have a private area that they are looking at - I think that they alert a random mod that a words (or words) is going to be hidden in their forum and could they please make sure they make a new post today so the admins will have a spot to place a word. And if you're the lucky mod, or a lucky friend of the lucky mod, then you've got a heads up as to where the new word, possibly the crucial word to win, is going to appear.

Just a theory mind you. :)

very rarely. the t-shirts they have up now are one example. The other is the stik-lers. I got them a few months ago for 40,000 points each. A week or two ago they were back up for 100,000 points each. Considering you can buy them for $6 they're a rip off for that many points. If I had looked into it before I ordered them... I never would have done it.

Thanks for the response. My mom is looking at some books and waiting for them to be restocked, I didn't want to tell her not to hold her breath if there was a possiblility that they would show up again. My impression has always been that they don't restock.
