Now this is one powerful car, but just look at the efficiency. At max speed it's using 125L/100km! Did i mention it has 1001hp?
Wonder how many is coming to Canada.

8.0L, W-16, quad-turbo... at this point, who cares about fuel efficiency?
I gotta admit though, this is the first time I've seen it from these angles in this non-red/black paintjob, and I gotta admit that it's definitely growing on me.

Yeah, they also reviewed it in the December Motor Trend.
The absolutely COOLEST thing about this car is this:

That's right folks, a guage that shows u how much HP the engine is currently pushing out!

What a POS seriously. It's like that motorcycle dodge made with the viper engine: impressive but impractical. This car makes other sportscars look like Smartcars in terms of effieciency, and all for what..an extra .1 or .2 seconds off 0-60 and not even the top speed record? Very expensive also...give me a break. I'd take a Koenigsegg CCR + the leftover cash over it any day.

This car does have the fastest top speed at 252mph .. previous record holder was the McLaren F1 at 240mph ... but seriously impractical and stupid ..

A lot of sites claim Bugatti can go ~252mph yet I can find no proof of it.

If someone told me this car was originally commissioned for the movie Batman Begins, I wouldn't bat an eye lash.
Looks wicked. Just wicked. The McLaren has an "unofficial" top speed of 243mph.

Well one of the first requirements that this car had to meet was go past the 400kmph + mark ... and it certainly does have the capability to .. The car has just been launched, so give it a few weeks  ... yeah but the McLaren gets very unstable at those high speeds ...
Ohh and that first link says official top speed of 252.95mph :)

The McLaren driven by the British race driver reaching 243mph, unofficially, seemed pretty stable. He even said as much. That car is a legacy.
Mind you, race car drivers test inumerable amounts of cars with superior aerodynamics than those of road cars; yet they still claim the McLaren is very comparable or close thereof to he ones they raced in.

with Gas prices like these, you might have to haul a gas station & a bank with you everywhere you go with this car

maybe if you can modify it and put a trailer hitch on it + a trailer filled with gas and some sort of line feeding into the main gas tank you'd have a good chance!

Yep, great arguement. I concur.
I can't help it. I'm biased against the Bugatti monstrosity, which I feel went about a very coarse path to reach its goal.

The EB110 was a nice car for it's time. The new Veyron looks acient by supercar standards. Unlike the McLaren, Enzo, Carrera GT; where there purpose built and speciality parts made to serve a purpose. The Veyron was put together out of a parts bin (taking 4 turbo i4 VW engines). They couldn't even create a solution to cover up the engine (high heat). Gordon Murray demanded Au lining the engine bay of the F1. You would think for $1.5m that they could've figured out a solution so the Veyron could be driven in the rain.
The Aerodynamics are terrible compared to the F1; you need to come to a complete stop; and initialize a high speed mode. Then your not allowed to turn or brake; instead of being designed as a road car they intended it to be a salts flat top speed race car?
Considering the engine has 16 cylinders, 8 litres displacent, and 4 turbos; the 1,000+ HP isn't all that impressive. Considering McLaren/BMW was able to make a run of the mill 5.5 litre naturally aspirated V12 make 620+ HP over 15 years ago.

I cant believe you'd even want the Koenigsegg CCR in the first place...
Forget the Cross Country Race the CCR will break down before it gets to the first Gas Station. Its easily the worst built Super Car.

That's a little narrow minded comment don't you think? And you're also only basing it off a tv show episode. I love Top Gear, but I rememeber a post being made on this forum which showed how they liked to create unnecessary drama on the show to make it more viewable.

Top Gear, Fifth Gear, Anyone who actually bought it not narrow minded at all.
Almost any records from people buying them have all been bad. Its fact look it up. Its just a REALLY bad car.

both lambos took a 1-2 finish actually
the Veyron, as rediculously fast and expensive as it is... isnt the true definition of a sports car to me, i would still vouch the cars like the McLaren F1, Porsche GT2/GT3, Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo and Ferrari Enzo to be more suitable to the purist types

The goal of this car was to break the landspeed record and bring the Bugatti nameplate back into the auto industry forefront - and they have successfully dones that. They will now build a more affordable sportscar or large sedan for the mainstream market.

"After just 2.46sec the Veyron reaches 60mph, and barely a couple of seconds after that it bursts into three figures. But the thing you’ll really struggle to get your head round, the statistic you’ll be boring your mates with for some years to come, is this; despite setting off 10 seconds after the McLaren – when the F1 is already travelling at 130mph – the Bugatti reaches 200mph at exactly the same time as the F1. Think about that. I have. And I still can’t quite fathom how rapid the Veyron must be to pull it off."
think.. about.. that...

read on to understand why the veyron is in a totally different class from all current supercars.
