Hello all,

Thanks in advance for any help. I have purchased a Dell system for a friend
and paid with the credit card. Somehow my friend misled the payment has not
been made and sent the payment again. And Dell CASHED THE CHEQUE. Called
the customer service and they said it will take more than a month to
get my payment back.

Is there any contact that I can file a complaint? That at least someone will pay
attention to.

Thanks for any advice.

So you paid by cheque AND by credit card ? Hmmm....

Try to get the credit card payment reimbursed. This should be easier and faster than the cheque.

Call them, that's all, and talk to the rep on the phone. Explain everthing and it should be fine. I personally have found Dell reps to be helpful and resourceful... (but I only had a problem once though - might have been the exception to the rule..)

If you're already past this stage, then whatever option you try to do now will take time.

Try this link for instance, which will help filing a complaint.

Thanks for the response.

Have called the Customer Service but they are not really helpful. And they said it will take a month before refund.

Just try to see if anything has file complaint to Dell and if there is a
specific contact that I can escalate. The problem is if customer is not
careful to find out, they will get away with double charging. This is not
acceptable for a big company like Dell.

Thanks anyway.

Try to talk to a supervisor/manager, might things a bit

Dell USA, it's typical 1 month wait for any Credit/Refund
Dell Canada, don't know, but filing BBB complaint may speed up the process :)
