It was posted before, you basically sign a contract with them and they give you either a nano or a shuffle. Damn you Telus, what about the customers who've been there since ADSL came out.

good deal bc

this just goes to show once again that service providers don't really care about their current customers (ie: some new cellphone contract offers are only for new contracts, not existing customers, etc)

Telus now has a new offer where you get $200 bucks off any computer when you sign up at Dell and you also get 3 months free. Thats pretty damn good, works out to almost 10 months free Internet when you sign up for 24 months if you do the calculations...

Looks like Bell has a similar offer for us easterners, but you only need to sign up for 1 year...

Oh yeah, and i couldn't find a Roger's deal if my life depended on it... I wonder why that is...

I am thinking someone should call telus,
someone who has been a telus highspeed customer from day 1,
and loyal
and never late in paying, etc...

and ask for the iPOD.
tell them you will cancel right now if you don't get one.

see if they transfer you to a churn manager and give you an iPOD. They do care about their current customers, but tend to only express it if you threat to leave.

I may just do this... the deals I see form 3web and/or Rogers or whoever else for highspeed are pretty good deals, so if they call my bluff, its not like i have nowhere to turn for fast internet....

anyone interested?

They probably won't honor it, but your right, you could easily get a good deal anywhere else... The best offer for Telus and Bell is currently on Dell, the best offer for Rogers is on their own site... some sort of 80$ gift cert. plus rebate...

I can see this working if you're currently on a 3-yr plan, and there was no promotion available at the time of sign up.

how does telus internet compare to bell sympatico and primus?

i'm currently on primus, and would like to switch since i am now back to their regular rate of 40/mo. i think.
