RCSS (real canadian superstore) has em for 2.99 for cored or uncored

deal doesnt happen alot, and im posting this because i just cored about 400 of em on my shift today

could be considered hot as not many places has em this cheap that often, and if you come to the St. Catharines, Ontario store, ull see me again....coreing even more tomorrow.......and see the pants that i wear, half black half yellow from pineapple

Farmboyin Ottawa has them for the same price. 2.99$ for golden pineapples is a good price. Why do people buy them core? There's tons of waste on the cored ones and it's super easy to do yourself...

Cored pineapples were $3.99 at the Mississauga location. They're nice and sweet. :)

Not hot if they're regular pineapples (I've seen them for $1.99 more than once this year). Hot if they're the gold variety though!

safeway and save-on usually charge about $7 each, rcss is usually around $5 iirc

Incidentally, the first page of this week's Price Chopper flyer (http://www.flyermall.com/web/flyer/flyerPreview.html?sid=55) shows golden pineapples on for $2. The last time I saw them on sale at Price Chopper, they were slightly smaller, but still made a really filling dessert for two people.

Pineapples can be had for $2 regularly in the GTA, you just gotta know where to look and when.

On a side note, GTA is indeed the center of the universe and as such it has RCSS's too. :D The one I go to is located at the new Dufferin st. & Steels ave. W plaza. Good luck!

very good stuff.....and yes there is tons wasted on the cored ones, id buy the whole ones (look for a nice big one too) but then again i get to eat what gets thrown out if i want :D

I don't eat core, since it's not ripe; but I use it to make juice. No sandpapering of tongue that way.
I also always buy them whole, you can core them yourself and get maximum.
$2 is a great price...

I buy my pineapples at Costco. Always very big and sweet.
Much bigger than the cored ones at the supermarket.

I'm not sure how they're doing this, given that pineapple have an inherent weight and volume and come from a tropical place, but Ontario Farms has a television ad advertising them for $1. I don't know the locations, and won't be going there because I'm the burbs, but I thought I'd let you know.
