Hey, my mom's a teacherfor the TDSB and got this advertisement for Corporate plans with Bell. It says its for the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario, which will probably limit this to only a few, but you might be able to get this with other corporations... who knows. I thought I'de post this just incase.

Here's the plan, on a 36 month agreement:

$22.30 a month gives you:
- 200 daytime minutes
- 100 Canadian LD minutes
- Unlimited Evenings and Weekends (6pm - 8am)
- Message Centre Express, Call Display, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Converence Calling, Detailed Billing
- first 6 months of unlimited local calling
- leather case/car charger/handsfree headset.

Some phones you can get: Motorola E815 $79, Sanyo 8300 $129, Samsung a920 $279.

Pretty sweet if you ask me. Hopefully someone can take advantage of this offer. Sorry for posting this even though its pretty limited but you might find a way to get it.

Also I'm wondering if Rogers has any comparable corporate plans. If not I'm going to cancel my Rogers contract and go with this Bell plan.

If that's a hot deal then the below deal is smoking.

CIBC corp plan with Rogers :

$22.50 + taxes (includes SAF and 911)

200 any time minutes, voice mail, call waiting...etc and exact billing. 1 or 2 yr contract and lots of phones available at low prices...some even free. I got the nokia 6620 for $0.

If you have any freinds or family that work for cibc then you can get this deal.

Unlimited evenings/weekends is $14 extra, and the best part is 6pm-8am. So, total price of plan ~ $34.00/mo.

So it's $22.50 + $14 = $36.50 while the teachers plan is $22.30 + $6.95 + $0.75 = $30 even (guess that's why its a weird price of $22.30).

So in that case the teachers plan is $6.50 per month cheaper than a similar CIBC plan. The only difference I see is the 1 or 2 year contract for CIBC and the fact that the teachers one has 100 long distance minutes.

Canada post has a great plan with Rogers for $18 before tax a month you get 200 daytime minutes, unlimited weekend voicemail, caller id, persecond billing etc and its an extra $5 for unlimited evenings (6pm - 7am) and I got a nokia 6101 for free after signing a 3 yr contract and you get a free case, car charger and hands free headset. SAF and 911 are extra as usual

thx for the headsup ainsane......turns out BMO has the same plan as well. Good thing too, a previous thread in Off-topic was comparing corporate plans and I was getting ripped off.

So I will switch over to this plan, much better.

Thats how much I pay for my corp plan with Rogers as well and I don't work at Cibc. The features of the plan are the same too. I think all the corporate plans under a given service provider are the same. Anyone getting a better deal on a corporate with Rogers?

Just curious if anyone was able to get the plan the OP posted ?

BMO a similiar plan but apparently unlimited evenings/weekends start at 8pm - 7am and only 100 daytime minutes.

You need to add $5 to get unlimited evenings/weekends to start at 6pm-8am. Plus the BMO plan doesn't include Call Display.

Just got switched over this morning, new plan kicks in next billing cycle (I am in the middle of my billing cycle).

So total = $35.00 + taxes = $40.25. Still better than what I was paying, I was paying $45 + taxes for 200 minutes, unlimited evenings/weekends starting at 6pm and all the extras such as call display, call waiting, three-way calling, detailed billing etc.

Thx again ainsane !

Hey guys.

These seem like very good plans for the moderate user.

However, I am looking for a plan that has 500 anytime minutes and call display.

I am presently with Rogers on 500anytime, Call Display, 1000 between us calling (I have 2 phones on this plan).

Ends up costing me $85 for both phones (including 2 911 and 2 SAFS but without taxes).

My contracts ends early January. Will be looking for something greater considering what is out there but I am not sure where to go.

Any suggestions??

PS - I need those 500minutes mostly because of my per minute billing with Rogers...

Thanks in advance

Hey guys,

I'm currently on the Government Employee Plan with Rogers and I'm wondering if I will be able to match some of the plans available on here. I'm really just looking for Caller Display, Voicemail, and maybe early weekends/evenings added on to my plan of:

- 250 Anytime Minutes
- Unlimited Weekends (8 PM Friday to 7 AM Monday)
- Unlimited Weeknights (8PM - 7 AM)
- 6 months Unlimited Free Calling

For $20 + SAF + 911

I've heard of some people being able to match other companies prices with threats of cancellation. The thing is, I'm only about 6 months into my plan of 3 years, so will the threats of cancellation fall on deaf ears? Also would agreeing to take up another 3 years on a contract be enough to get these additions?

whats the point in paying $20 a month with NO minutes?

If you wanna fone for emergency, FIDO has a retention plan that is $10 a month with zero minutes. SAF etc is incl. Minutes are like 30cent billed by the sec.

Better then the bell plan you listed.

samsun a860 and LG6200 was free.........so don't pay 129 for the sanyo, you r getting ripped.

I'm on a government employees plan with Rogers that is identical to the $18 plans that others have referred to in this thread (i.e. includes CID and voice mail). You can also add unlimited evenings for $5.

A great bonus that I get with this plan is the ability, based on my tier ranking, to upgrade the phone every year with an extra $100 credit off the usual HUP prices. I renewed my contract a few months ago for two years and got the SE S710a for $49 after all credits.

If you are an existing bell mobility customer you can gon onto the monthly plan by calling customer service and quoting the "Gran Code" or "node ID" ( which ever you choose to call it). Don't know how closely they check if you qualify for it, but you can always treaten to leave and go somewhere else if they don't give it to you - whether you actually make good on your threats is really irrelevant

WAIT... I just realized that one doesn't have unlimited evenings and weekends. So it's not that great. You save a couple bucks on the SAF and 911, and get 50 extra daytime minutes. But with the Teacher plan you get 100 long distance minutes, and free evenings which costs $7.50 more for the OPSEU plan. So they're roughly similar.

I am a member of OPSEU and I am thinking of getting the Motorola e815 with the plan.

I read earlier in the thread that I could call bell mobility and switch to that plan though (despite the OPSEU/BAKA faq saying it cant be done). How can I go about doing this?

Don't know how long you have been with bell, but you might be able to switch if you call and quote the "Gran code ( or node ID#) " that I posted.

It is the one on the edvantage website, but I know that It is the one that they use for OPSEU as well. As far as getting the new phone. If you have been with bell for long enough and aren't on a contract, they will give you a credit on your account towards a hardware upgrade ( they will probably try to get you to sign another contract) . If you are still on a contract with them and have been at least 2 years, they will give you a hardware upgrade and ask you to commit to another contract, or thirdly, you can switch plans with your existing contract ( no matter how long you have been on it) and just buy the phone. They give their hardware upgrade credits usually depending on how long you have been with them, and how long of a contract you will sign.
