This is an unadvertised deal. I went in today to Zellers to pick up the 30min charger with 4 1800mAh batteries, which was $35 and is mentioned in this thread:
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222454&highlight=recharger
Amazingly, right beside the 30min charger they had a Energizer 15-min charger, which comes with 4 x 2200 mAh batteries. I was curious how much it cost, and upon scanning it turned out to be on sale for $35, making me very happy. I am not sure if this is a price mistake, but it's a great deal. Here's how the package looks like:
http://img109.imagevenue.com/loc67/th_fb1_IMG0018.JPG (http://img109.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc67&image=fb1_IMG0018.JPG)

Edit: It comes with a separate AC adapter cable like the 30-minute model, so it won't overheat like the regular ones you plug directly into the outlet.
Edit 2: People bought them from other Zellers stores and the product still shows up as 30 minute charger on receipt and is $35! In other words this deal is confirmed! Sale ends Dec. 2nd.

For those who live in Mississauga and still want to get the 15-mins charger at $35. I just came back from Zellers at Square One, they still have about 6 30-mins charge and about another 10+ 15-mins charger by the escalator on the lower level.

Its OOS in Richmond Hill Zellers but I managed to pick it up at another location. I picked up 3 more and I am willing to sell them back to RFDers at my cost, which is $34.97 x 1.15 = $40.22. I will sell it for $41 to make up my time and gas. You get the Zellers receipt too so you can always go back for a refund. I can meet up in Richmond Hill (Bayview&HW7) in the evening or downtown Toronto at day time. Just PM me and first come first serve.

I believe that employee mixed this up with the 30 min charger that is on the flyer. The reason I believe it is a pricing error because it shows as a 30 min charger on the receipt.

It's definetly a pricing error. I think its because the packages look so similar. It would make no sense to put both chargers on sale for the same price at the same time.

It does say 30 min charger on the receipt. The employee that I asked for a price on the charger actually scanned the price for me to confirm it for me before I took it to the checkout, and it came up as half off, so there is definitely a pricing error in the system.
A painful pricing error, I think! :)

okay I have a quick question. is the higher the mAh on a battery the better? Because I got an energizer charger and 4 2500mAh batteries for $26.98 at walmart in the summer. I guess I got a good deal unless the lower the mAh the better.

One thing: The adapter is quite big and heavy because of the high current.
The charger itself also is very big. So if you think about travelling with it, better get the compact one. The whole pack of charger, adapter, 4 AA battery weighs almost 2 Lbs. The 30 min charger package weighs a bit less (about 150 grams less).

If I had time later. You'll have the definite answer. From the specs, there is a hint it's a smart one.
- microprocessor control
- bad battery detection
- overcharge protection
- auto detect: AA or AAA
- maintenance charge
BUT:
- temp. control
- timer control

I tested the charger with 3 AA batteries; two that were already charged and one that was empty.
Result: after 2 or 3 minutes, both charged batteries became cold and the charger individually charged the empty one for 15 minutes.
Conclusion: it charges individually and it is (well, I think?) intelligent.

answer to #1. rated AA 2200mAH , AAA 800mAH.
answer to #2. The charger is light...but the adapter with the plug is quite heavy. So there are 2 pcs...the charger and the adapter plug.
answer to some one elses question it has 4 channels and you can charge one to hour AA or AAAA batteries simultaneously
so i got a PM...on answer to question 1.
this is the response from the brochure..."your 15min AA/AAA battery charger is designed for charging Energizer Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni MH) rechargerable batteries rated AA 2200mAH , AAA 800mAH"
on the warning it reads...."Charge only rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries. Changing any other type o rechargeable batteries may cause them to leak, rupture or explode."
so if you have Nickel Metal Hydride Ni MH batteries it should be cool

really? It's not so much that you have to use RAYOVAC branded batteries, just like how Energizer says you should use Energizer NIMHs, actually I was wondering if you need SPECIAL batteries, 15 minute batteries, to get the 15 minute charge... cuz that is a legitimate (not marketing) thing to consider, since regular battteries might not be able to be compatible with a 15 minute charger?? but I guess this energizer AND the rayovac can use ANY NIMH batt, and charge them in 15 min???
but wait, the rayovac says that normal batteries will charge in 3 hours..... so that's why I was wondering if this energizer can charge normal batt in 15 min? I'm guessing it can from the posts above..

I just tried the charger out and here is my mini review.
It does charge single cells (one battery at a time)
The fan cools the batteries (it blows directly on them) and it cools the hole unit
Like all fast chargers it does NOT fully charge a battery. After I finished charging the set of batteries that came with the charger (which are 2050 mah, not 2400 mah) I put them into my maha charger (considered to be the best on the market) and it is still charging the "15 minute" charged batteries. Most rapid charger are lucky if the can do 80 - 90% charged.

Varroa

The fan spins the entire time and even continues to spin for about 60 seconds once you remove the batteries.
Even with the fan the batteries heat up alot. About as hot as my 3 hour maha charger. Without the fan the batteries would surely overheat.

One of my no-name MIC NiMH batteries overheated, 'expanded' & MELTED part of my precious Maha used-to-be-fast charger (500mA ~= 3-4 hours) http://www.dolnetwork.com/RFD/smilies/angryfire.gif ... I did read the fine print but I just wanted to show everybody that you are not truely getting a completely charged battery in 15 min. You have to leave the batteries 66% longer than advertised to get a full charge.
My maha finished charging the batteries that were charged for 15 minutes in about 30 - 60 minutes (using a 3 hour charge cycle, non-linear output).

Do you think the thermal protection mechanism was triggered (too hot) to interrupt the charging process ??

Oh, I meant this 15-minute one .... Since you discover the batteries were not fully charged, I am thinking the charging might be terminated prematurely by the thermal protection mechanism in the 15-min charger coz the batteries were too hot.

You can't. Receipt shows 30 min charger.
Just got 3 15 min. chargers in Gatineau (Hull) and the invoice does not say anything about the charge time. It only reads "Chargeur Energize 1 @ 34.97" (translation :Energizer Charger). Maybe a PM with a QC Zellers receipt could be done?
Anyways, Thanks to the OP for a great deal... and 3 less Xmas presents to search for. :cheesygri

After 15 minutes the batteries probably are too hot to continue charging so it switches to a trickle charge to finish it up (hence the "leave in the charger for 10 more minutes to reach optimal charge" statement.

They had quite a few at Willoughbrook Mall in Langley today. I saw at least 10 packages of the 15 mins on the same display rack as the 30 mins. Packaging says the batteries are 2200 mAh but on the battery itself says min. 2050 mAh. Is something wrong here?
Too bad the package didn't come with 2500mAh batteries.

I picked up extra and will sell it back to RFDer for $41 which is my cost buying it from Zellers. Just trying to help those who really want one but can't find in store. PM me and I can meet up in Richmond Hill or downtown TO.
Met up with Tim tonite and the deal went perfectly smooth, trusted trader if anyone had missed out on this awesome deal!!
Digital Cameras, Mini-Z, RC toys, this allows for AAA and AA individual cells at the same time!
only peeve is that there is no individual cell status indicator. the duracell has this so u can see which cell triggers the 'defective cell' warning.. in the energizer u have to randomly remove cells untill u see which one is causing the indication light to flash.

yep yep, most chargers for anything are like this these days, from mp3 players to cell phones.
burst charge for the first 2/3rds of the charging cycle and then a more moderated lower charge for the remaining 3rd. my gigabeat, 903sh and my brother's sony mp3 player all have non-linear charging patterns.

The energizer website says that the 15-minute charger would take approximately 20 minutes to charge 2500 mAh AAs.
Now I have a question, does anyone know where to get quality AAA rechargables? I only noticed 2 packs of AAAs, not 4 packs?...

So you are the one who snatched them all in the York Region, eh? ;)
As in FYI for others in my area, here are the details:
The Richmond Hill Zellers did not have a display. Rather they were placed toward the inner end of a rack. Unfortunately, they were just the 30 minute versions. There were 2 left at the time of my visit before 6 pm.
The other Zellers in the region is at Centrepoint Mall on Yonge & Steeles. They had the display and were selling the 30 minute and the travel size versions. Sorry but no 15 minute ones left. Maybe ecaps bought them all
Personally, I would go with the Rayovac 15 min one at Wal-Mart for < $45. It is compact, portable and just as quick. Good for people who travel often or who are not heavy battery users but would like their digital products to function long enough given that it comes only with 2 batteries.

Interestingly...it says 2200mah batteries on the outside of the pack, but if you look at the batteries that are visible thru the package, they are only 2050 mah batteries...at least at the 5 units I looked at.
The label on the batteries say 22 mAh, but if you look at the fine print towards the + end, you will see:

AA 12V
Min 2050mAh

I took 4 in total and the extra 3 were already gone to other RFDers now. There were at least 2 left before I left though.
Personally, I would go with the Rayovac 15 min one at Wal-Mart for < $45.
I went to Richmond Hill Walmart tonight to check out the price of the Energizer batteries. I saw the Rayovac 15-min charger with 2AA and 2AAA on sale for regular price $59.99, vs the Energizer 15-min $69.99. Which Walmart did you find the Rayovac charger for < $45? The batteries required for Rayovac 15-min charger is $19.xx for 4 AA 2050mAh but the 4 Energizer AA 2500mAh is cheaper for $15.xx. I also have the Rayovac charger that I bought when it was on sale 6 weeks ago in CT for $29.99. But I need to buy more rechargeable batteries and the Energizer one is cheaper and higher mAh.

Sounds very much like a smart charger! Thank you for the information!
I hope I will still be able to get one on the weekend...

It's smart, so you can charge whatever brand name you want. Willy mentioned the no name brands may melt under heat. Theorectically, once it can charge at higher current, it can do so with lower current and my guess is the lower rating battery doesn't have a higher current.

Well, I guess it has more to do with the inconsistency of the manufacturing process and quality control. Not all of my no-name MIC batteries overheated, majority of them still work. But the problem is that it doesn't take a lot to ruin your day. *ONE* is enough to kill my charger  I may save a few bucks on those no-name MIC batteries but I lost several times more from my charger !!! All right this is for everyone. I'm not current on all the latest designs. I just know that current NiMH designs are made to give off negative change/difference in voltages when almost full so that current NiMH chargers can pick up on that and not overcharge the battery and fill the battery to capacity using trickle charge (3mAh -7mAh at a time).
Now NiMH means Nickel Metal Hydride, Hydride is because normally metal non-metal compounds are written in that order because of how they physically combine (Physics 536). Like table salt is Sodium Chloride and written as NaCl and not Chlorine Sodide or Chlorine Sodiumide, and is not written as ClNa.
mAh means milli-Amp Hours which means (Amperes x Hours)/1000 . 1 milli-Amere is 0.001 Amperes. Amps means current which is the amount of electrons in a circuit at any given time. In this case the amount of electrons the battery can shoot out ever hour max. Think of current as the number of people about to push a box. The more people the more "man-power" and the easier the box can be pushed. (I also remember that 1amp equals 1culomb per second, not sure how to explain a culomb to you and it doesn't really matter here).
Volts means the force or push. In other words the amount of force or strength a single electron can exert. So think of volts as the strength an individual has. The more volts the stronger the individual or electron and the more work a single individual can accomplish on his/her own. Volts equals 1 joule of energy per second. Some of you might recall joules from calories calculations. This next note is not necessary but maybe you'd like to know, 1 joule is enough energy to raise 1 gram of water 1 degree celcius in temperature.
Ok so now I'll show you where volts and amps meet and power comes in. Power is measured in Watts and you can calculate the watts by the electricity formula Volts (V) x Amps (I) = Power (W).
So take those mAh on the batteries and divide them by 1000 and that's your amps. Most rechargeable batteries are 1.2Volts and alkaline is usually 1.5Volts. Multiply that by the amperage of the battery and that should be how much power your battery can provide. Now take a look at the rating on your device. Multiply the volts times the converted amperage (mA divided by 1000 = Amperes). Now take the Watts of your batteries and divided by the watts of your device and that should be how many hours your batteries will last in that device at full power drain.
Let me know if I've made any errors.

Forget messy, batteries contain corrossive compounds. If it touched anything not only would the stuff melt, they would dissolve so to speak and if it hit your skin, you'd have a chemical burn if not worse.

can anybody tell me what is the input voltage on this 15 minutes charger? is it 110v (north american only) or 100-240v (universal)? thank you very much!

It's multivoltage, but the big disadvantage is you need to use a big power supply brick with this charger because it has a fan to keep batteries cool.

The invoice says $40.22, so you can give me $41 if you are a past buyer of mine or if you purchase one of my other for sale items. If not, it's $45. firm.

Best Buy = $69.99
Zellers = $34.97
10% Difference = $3.50
Total = $31.47
I had the Best Buy guy call 5 different stores cuz most of the Zellers in Edmonton are OOS. Eventually we found a store in St. Albert that had one more left in stock. :D

I don't see a problem with LED flashlights. The LEDs are pretty resilient. I did use Ni-MH batteries in 4 2xAA Maglites for a couple of years. I went through about a dozen bulbs. After switching back to alkaline batteries, no more bulbs burned out. I used many differnet types of Ni-MHs or varying qualities.

It is 100-240V @ 50/60 Hz
Actually, the power supply is external. The actual input is 11-16V DC @4A. So with the appropriate cable, this charger will work great plugged into a car's 12V DC plug.
If you need 220V, you'd have to find another external power brick.

I unplug mine when not in use. Transformers use power whether their in use or not, I'm sure it's a trickle, but I figure, it's a bit of a fire hazard and a power leak, so take the second and unplug it. It also allows me to use one power bar with a bunch of chargers (overnight, fast, video camera, camera, cell phone, drill, etc...)
I'm sure someone will ask me to provide a study to prove this, but I'm not going to, just my opinion.

I bought a bunch of 900 mah AAAs at www.thomas-distributing.com. It's a pretty good site if you're buying a few packs of batteries, they give you bulk discounts, and I saved a bunch on shipping by buying some extra battery holders, which are nice to have...

I had recently recommended Rayovac's line of 15-min chargers to a colleague. However, when I read here about Zeller's pricing error on Energizer's 15-min recharger I thought it was a good opportunity to get her this alternative.
Although it was sold out at all the Zellers in my area, I managed to get a PM on it and ended up getting some for my colleague, my brother and myself. But instead of paying $35 like everyone else, it cost me $15.99 for each of them. Booyah!

$21.99+$9.99 = about 32 bux + exchange is about 38, THEN if they ding you on duty its + 14% +$5 handling. So if your lucky its 38, if your not its 48.

Is there any 15min left at the market mall or sunridge in Calgary?
MYK
I was at Sunridge yesterday and couldn't find any in Zellers, only 30 minute chargers. However, I was at Market Mall on Monday and they had lots of them on a rack by kitchenware (I think that was the dept.) on the second floor in an aisle display. Haven't been there since Monday, though.

Although it was sold out at all the Zellers in my area, I managed to get a PM on it and ended up getting some for my colleague, my brother and myself. But instead of paying $35 like everyone else, it cost me $15.99 for each of them. Booyah!
Can you walk us through your PM? @what store? how did you get it down to $15.99???

I am also hunting for the same item. So far the best I could find is from ebay priced at around US$25 (and with shipping it is actually around US $40).
I found a couple on www.thomas-distributing.com, but they run $45 or more US, plus shipping, plus exchange, etc. At least they throw in a few batteries. Radio shack has one that's $89.99, but that's the best I've seen so far for a smart (not timer based) AAA/AA/C/D/9v charger...

I had recently recommended Rayovac's line of 15-min chargers to a colleague. However, when I read here about Zeller's pricing error on Energizer's 15-min recharger I thought it was a good opportunity to get her this alternative.

I bought this for the superior charger, not the batteries.
After so many viewings of this thread, and even more time thinking about it, I finally decided to get one.
I always wanted a smart charger. Too many cheap timer-based ones on the market. $40 isn't cheap, but this charger is a smart charger (I've yet to take it apart to check what charge management circuit it is using), and it comes with four good made-in-Japan batteries.
One interesting feature I like is the AC adapter. It's 100-240 auto-switching, so I can use it anywhere (but may need a converter plug). Most plug-in type chargers are single-voltage (120V AC only). Also, because the charger officially accepts 11-16V DC, you can power it from the stock adapter (outputs ~16V), a computer power supply (outputs 12V), a car (outputs 12-15V), and even a lab power supply (output adjustable). Hence, if the adapter ever fails, you can still use it.
Bad points? Fan can be noisy. If fan fails, the charger won't charge due to temperature monitoring. Fan replacement should be easy, since it seems to be a 60mm x 10mm 12V fan. Another point is that it CANNOT charge NiCd batteries. I know NiCd and NiMH are different chemistry and have different charge characteristics, but would have been nice if the charger could charge both.

I finally picked up one of the 15 minute versions at a CT store. They were able to PM Zellers using the UPC number. Zellers' internal stock system is a joke, but I found that by using the UPC, Zellers was able to locate the product in the computer easily and confirm the price over the phone to CT.
I have now seen these chargers at Zellers (obviously!), Canadian Tire and Wal-Mart. CT is probably the best bet for a PM.
The UPC from the 15 minute charger is: 039800087577

yeah but compare them:

30-min charger: charger + 4 batteries (1850mAh)
i'd expect that a better charger + better batteries to cost a bit more, wouldn't u?

hey how can you prouve BB for a pm for the 15min charger?
well, b/c the Zeller's receipt will likely say something like "Energizer 30-min charger" on it instead of the actual "15-min charger", there's only 1 way: get'em to phone up Zellers (1 having stock) and check stock + verify price...
can't use the receipt as "proof" since it says something completely diff. on it.... and there isn't any advertisement on this either.
...once they verify the price then voila! ~$31.50 PM price
but note that since this is likely a pricing error, if BB finds out, they'll reject the PM b/c they don't PM price errors ;)

This is the natural progression of development. If you look at the AA rechargeables, they increase in power regularly but the product number and the UPC remain the same. The same would go for chargers - the exception being when they add value (ie: add a car charger cord or extra batteries not normally included).
That's my guess, anyway....

When the charger indicates it's finished charging, the batteries are about 90% charged. The charger then continues to trickle charge the batteries as long as you leave them in. This will top-up the batteries to a full charge after 8+ hours

If you look in this RFD thread, it looks like the sale will be on again on the 8th and 9th at Zellers....
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=222454&page=6&pp=15
The 15 and 30 minute chargers have the same UPC so Zellers won't have a way to distinguish between them unless you get an observant cashier.
for the last time, they do NOT have same UPCs... (i compared the 2 side-by-side)
BUT, they do scan in at the same price and the 15-min charger scans in as the 30-min charger w/ the 30-min charger's UPC. ;)

Success! Zellers @ Cloverdale Mall.
I asked for the Engergizer rechargeables on sale, the wizard behind the counter pointed at the 30min charger.
I asked of she had any 15 minute chargers, she said yea, they're the same price as the 30 minute chargers.
She said I was better off getting the 30 minute charger because the charge lasts twice as long as the 15 minute chargers.
I told her I only needed short term charging!!
Hahaha.....what a dolt!
Oh yea, she saved me an extra 10% by signing up for a Zellers card!!
Price after taxes: $36.21

Confirmed in Barrie. Picked up a 15 minute charger for the price of the 30 minute charger this morning. This charger actually has a fan in it to cool the batteries while charging. If you get this one, note the fine print in the instructions about leaving the batteries in the charger for another 10 minutes after the led goes green to get a full charge.
BTW, Costco has the Sanyo 2300 x6 AA and 800 x 2 AAA in one pack for $20 at the moment.

I just was at Zellers and a photocopied note said the 30-min chargers were on for $34.95 again for Dec 8-9. So, the deal is on TEMPORARILY if you can indeed find 15-min chargers and they still ring in as 30-min ones. There were no 15-min versions there or I would have confirmed (Masonville Mall, London)

I needed 1 more set for a gift and picked up a few more extra sets today, PM me if interested. There were at least 6 more at Centerpoint Mall in T.O. as of 9am this morning. See quote below for location/pricing details.
If anyone wants, I picked up a few extra sets (before they correct the price error) - 15 minute chargers and 4 batteries and sealed that I'll sell at basically cost. The invoice says $40.22, so you can give me $41 if you are a past buyer of mine or if you purchase one of my other for sale items. If not, it's $45. firm.
Pick up only and as a principle, please don't offer me $40, as I'm not going to take any loss on it.
Pick up near 401/Yonge or 401/Keele areas.

Remotes are a tough decision to make when it comes to rechargeables, if the remote eat's them up in about a month, go for it. But if get a full 3-4 months, it's not a wise decision because you will end up charging them every month anyway because they lose about 1% of the charge capacity every day if you use them or not, so they will probably only be good for about a moth or so.
Wireless keyboards are not worth it, but for a wireless optical mouse it's a must.
I use them moslty in my Digital Camera, Mouse, GBA and wireless Game Controllers.

Someone else also mentioned thomas-distributing.com, and indeed they have great variety for excellent price, BUT, the shipping to Canada totally kills it for me. I just need around 8 AAA and maybe 4 AA. Its worthwhile if one buys in bulk, but smaller orders certainly don't offer any savings.

In case anyone is looking for cheap AAA batteries to go with this charger:
Walmart has Duracell 900 mAh 4-pack AAA for $12.47. These are also Made in Japan.
I returned the ones I got at Zellers. They were Energizer ones (usually lying right next to the charger) 850 mAh, 2-pack for $9.97 or something. And these were Made in China.
Regardless, the Duracell ones work great with the charger. Works out sooo much better (and almost as cheap as the big battery sales stores as thomas-distributing.com ).
Great if you have a Harmony Remote. These suckers take 4 AAA batteries and they eat them up very fast.

There is NO way that they are selling as their regular price a 15 min charger with 4 batteries for $27! As a price error at one store, maybe, but 2 stores, with that price? You were looking at a different charger or different shelf price.

Actually, I went to my local Home Depot looking for these 15 min charger kits for $26 bucks.....only ones they had were energizer slim charger kit w/4 AA 1850mAh batteries for $26.88 ......and obviously now, we all know that the original post claiming both Walmart & Home Depot had 15 min charger kits for $26 was inaccurate to say the least.........however, the Home Depot I went to did have the Energizer 30 min charger kit w/ 4 AA batteries (couldnt read the mAh on the batteries the way they were positioned in the packaging) and it showed a new low price from $69.97 to $38.88...so they do in fact carry the 30 minute charger kits in Home Depot B & M Canada

1 left for sale - PM me if interested.
If anyone wants, I picked up a few extra sets (before they correct the price error) - 15 minute chargers and 4 batteries and unopened (sealed) that I'll sell at basically cost. The invoice says $40.22, so you can give me $41 if you are a past buyer of mine or if you purchase one of my other for sale items. If not, it's $45. firm.
Pick up only and as a principle, please don't offer me $40, as I'm not going to take any loss on it.
Pick up near 401/Yonge or 401/Keele areas.

just a headsup...
for those who missed this deal yet for a two consecutive times, u'll have a THIRD chance at getting this... except at a bit more $$$ price.
Sat 17th - 24th, Zellers will be selling the 30-min charger for $40 this time around. (40% off)
and if history repeats itself, the 15-min charger may well be "mispriced" again at $40...:-0

I bought as many as I could thinking that the retailer would fix the price, thus making this unavailable to everyone after they caught on.
They never did fix the price, so here we are. As low as $41 for RFDers from me.

perhaps so if they want to clear the 30min. chargers for the new 15-min chargers...
but too bad the 15-min chargers have prbly been all cleared by RFD

well, i understand that u wanted to get some for RFDers due to the "price error" that was assumed to be a very limited time deal, but perhaps if u left some there, another RFDer might've had the chance to get in on the deal...

I doubt that they restocked as the Energizer displays in a few stores that I've been in have been dismantled. The remaining stock was put on the shelf usually just reg and 30 min charger kits.

well, PM isn't impossible... just a bit harder.
u'd have to go to CT asap for PMing to prove that u "just bought it"... and ask the CSRs when phoning (they phone for PMs?) to make sure the Zellers CSR checks the price of the 15-min chargers are in fact $35...
that's how i PMed mine at BB :cheesygri (except i didn't have to buy mine at Zellers 1st... just straight up PM and made sure checking Zellers stock/price was done the way i wanted it... :) )

It is when you're dealing with the Zellers here. CT checked my charger, noted that it was exactly the same UPC. They phoned Zellers and read the barcode over the phone to the Zellers CSR. The Zellers CSR responded that the code didn't register in their system. WTF? I had just bought it 2 minutes earlier most likely from the idiot on the other end of the line. (Zellers and CT are within 100 yards of each other.)

maybe u were just at CT at the wrong time of the day spking to the wrong ppl :)
i PMed mine no prblms at BB :cheesygri (they literally followed the directions *i* gave'em  )
i've rarely PMed at CT b4 (at most twice i think)... from what i can remember, both experiences went pretty smoothly tho.
and as for the distance b/t CT and Zellers, u should just tell 1 of their CSRs to walk over there and check the price  (easiest and most effective "proof" of lower price at Zellers).

I'm in the US right now and I have to give a price comparison to the half price Zellers deal.
In Pinellas Park, FL at Target stores, similar to Zellers, the regular price of the charger is $27.99 US. At Walmart, it is $27.66 and comes with a $2 0ff coupon POS. This one would be $25.66 + 7% tax.
Even with the exchange on the dollar, the prices come in under the $34.99 Cdn at Zellers, not to say anything about the reg price at $69.99 Cdn.
Somebody is making big bucks somewhere, is it Energizer, distributors or the retailer.

I have a feeling your looking at the wrong charger. I just looked at the Target site, and found this 3 Hour Charger (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-11/qid=1135968165/ref=sr_1_11/602-6451130-2586220?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B0000DC4EO) Its 26.99.
There is also this...
8 Hour Charger (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-12/qid=1135968576/ref=sr_1_12/602-6451130-2586220?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B0000UUR62) Which costs $24.99 after the currency change is about the same as canada.
BUT I did find the 30min charger for 28 bux at walmart Here (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2445355)
Still not the 15 min charger tho.
On another note. The source is selling this thing for 80 bux...hahah
Here (http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=Battery+Chargers&product=2318395)
Edit: Humm I could be wrong, seems Tirgerdirect.com has these for $29.99 and .ca for $40.99

Just a question like that. They say on the instruction thing that for a full large after 15 minutes I can leave the batteries in the charger than when full charge the light will turn off, but on mines it's always on. Also after 15 minutes to light turn from red to gree and if I wait ten minutes the fan turn off, but the light is still green ? Is it still full charge ?

well, 1stly, thx to DealsSeeker f/ the other Duracell recharger thread, :) , i went by RCSS a couple days ago and found an Energizer coupon (3-in-1 actually) stating that u get up to $9 (total) cashback (MIR) if u purchased Energizer Li batts, or Energizer e2 batts, or an Energizer charger...
i don't quite remember, but it was something like $2, $3, and $4 and that makes up the "up to $9 cash back" promo....
IIRC, the $4 cashback was for ANY Energizer charger.... and on the back of the coupon it does NOT state a specific restriction on purchase date, just that the promo expires sometime next yr ('07)...
i'll have to checkout the coupon again (as i don't quite remember the exact details, terms/conditions)
for those of us who bought it at Zellers (or PMed at BB like me :cheesygri ), well, there's that extra UPC that's sittin' there ... i just thought that this $4 cashback promo would make it more useful :cheesygri
so checkout ur local RCSS's for this energizer coupon (and ... if ur interested, it's time to dig up those receipts and/or box containing UPC ;) )

Thanks for the tip. I'll stop by RCSS/Loblaws and look for that coupon.
I always keep my receipts and UPCs. I staple the UPC to the receipt and then I file it away. I've been doing this since 2004 for all my purchases. The main reason why I do it is for insurance purposes. If my house gets robbed, I can prove the value of my goods (with depreciation) and not get screwed by my insurance company. If the thief steals my receipts, then I'm SOL.
