I've got a problem. Well, its not really a problem, but more of a pain in the butt. My Rogers HDTV terminal is connected to the component input in my Viewsonic N2750w HDTV. My problem is that when I want to play the Xbox360 in hi-def I have to unplug the cable box from the back and plug in the xbox, which is total waste of time. THe only other way to play xbox without doing so is via RCA cables in non-high definition, which isnt any good.

So, I wanna know what I can do to have the cable box hooked up at the same time as the xbox. is there some sort of splitter/adapter or something? would a receiver have multiple inputs?

thanks!

P.S. What's the difference between the YCBCR and YPBPR inputs on ym TV? YPBPR is what I use for high-def, but im not sure on what the other is for...

You can get a A/V Receiver to do your component switching. You can also buy stand alone component switching units.

there are splitters for the regular red/white/yellow component a/v cables, and im not sure, but I think that the cables are the same as the HD cables, it's just the info runnign through them differs. If im right, you could use a regular splitter for the HD terminals.

im not sure though, i just remember when i hooked up my friends 360 the HD and component jacks were physically the same size and shape.. it was the colours, and so the information within them differed.
