History of Arafat's actions as a terrorist, and a "loved figure of the Palestinians". Good read to get the dark underbelly of the PLO/PA during his reign. Well linked, to other sources.

We've had this discussion before, specifically just after Ararat died. Do we really need to do it again?

It was just the anniversary of his death, and the world media portrayed him as the Nobel Peace Prize winner, and not the Terrorist. This is a bit of a refresher course.

As for him being dead, his influence on the Palestinian psyche lives on, and will for decades.

Mostly, if you've noticed, I haven't posted a thread on the topic for awhile. Then Marc7 started the conversation again. If Marc7 would stop, I would too. (Which is funny, cause it's a microcosm of the situation)

I have noticed - but why don't you take after Israel and try to help the peace process, instead of continually sending in suicide bombers? ;)

I've asked the UN... I mean mods... to take some type of action, by either making the topic offlimits, or giving Politics it's own forum, but they don't want to take those steps.

And his follower is a Holocaust denier and the sponsor behind the slaughter of the Israeli athletes in 1972 Munich Olympics.

bump for a nice thread, arafat did a lot of harm to both peoples of palestine, arabs and jews. I hope he rots in his grave if the things i heard about him are true.
