I dont understand the Virgin mobile commercial.
The one where the girl and boy are sitting on the couch and the old people are across from them.

Then she starts hissing like a dumb ass.
a big deer comes rolling in
and gonzo starts cheering.

WTF

LOL

I think its the fact that her present was not good enough and she was mad at her parents.

yeah the freak girl is just mad at her parents for the crappy gift. Cats make that same sound when angry.

for me this commercial is nothing compared to the rogers one of the Indian man with barefeet up close to the camera laughing at pausing the bad guy from hitting the good guy using his remote control. I have to switch the channel everytime because I am scared the stink of his feet is so powerful it will actually comes though the tv and into my living room. gross.

My roommate and I hate that commercial so much. We've decided that the ***** doesn't like the hairdryer, so she's mad at her parents, but the "deer" (it's a reindeer) is Santa giving her a Virgin Mobile Phone for Christmas, which makes her happy, and therefore her (brother?) happy.

Stupid.

Yep, same here. And I was thinking of posting about it on RFD.

Its a moronic ad, same as that fruity drink commercial. Five-alive. If this is what resonates with the the 14-25 yr old age group, they're a bunch of retards.

Makes me hate the company and switch the channel. Man, don't be dragging my IQ down just because the new generation thinks thats cool. Cuz its not.

That's how I interpreted the commercial, but I figured that there was some new joke or saying that I haven't heard yet that is supposed to make it funny. Guess I was wrong.

well for all those that thought it was a moronic ad, Virgin certainly got their point across to you and were succesful in marketing because it stuck in your head now, and now you're talking about it on a forum...free advertising for virgin LOL

Not really, what did get stuck in my head is, I made a solid association between Vigin=stupid ads=stupid company.

I don't think that a forum of reasonably savvy shoppers talking about how lame the commercial is was what they were going for. Did you actually read the comments made? I don't recall anyone saying that the commercial was so lame that they were rushing out to by a Virgin phone....

I took it as a boring family event is interrupted when a deer magically appears, and the girl goes bonkers over it. No, it doesn't make sense to me either.

Don't know if "This ad is so offensive, I'll tell everyone I know to never buy their products" is the kind of vibe they want.

I don't understand it either. I much prefer the earlier ones with the retro sex-ed videos they had

I actually find that commercial hilarious. I like the part where the girl goes insane and hisses like a cat. It doesn't make sense, but the look on that girl's face is so funny.

We all know what the commercial was for and we're talking about it on the internet.

Virgin Marketing: 1

Any publicity is good publicity.

With their rediculus rates and crappy phones doubt anyone from RFD would buy them.

I wonder if the virgin phone has crappy reception and she is hissing to imitate the static sound the earpiece makes. :)
