No, but don't bother. Just ask yourself who's going to buy these knives off you, even if they are superior. Knives of all qualities are so inepensive now that I'm surprised a company like Vector still exists.

there are many articles.. regarding vector marketing scam, see for yourself
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=vector+marketing&meta=

it's just selling Cutco cutlery. I remember someone coming into my house and doing a presentation... they only bought because the presenter was a friend.. dont' be stupid. If you can sell, and are interested in MLM, try other pyramid programs.... or a commissioned job

I've been interviewed by a company similar to this, and that was the end of it.

They would call this multi-level-marketing, but it's more like a pyramid scam. A word of advice: if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

But just make sure read carefully, sometimes pressure techniques are used to get you to sign on and it costs money to join.

I've thought about it once because they were on campus recruiting. A quick google search turned me away very quickly.

Well, there's a reason why.....

But hell selling tupperware worked for Uncle Rico and Kip in Napoleon Dynamite, so give it a shot.

I acutally went to a interview with them. My god...it was SOOOOOOOO Boring! They keep you there for 3 hours, giving you a presentation and constantly repeating how good their knives are. The presenter kept on saying BS like we are a successful company because we hire the right ppl. The ironic thing is, of the 20 ppl in the room that day, everyone was offered the job. Basically, if you show up for the interview, they'll give you the job.

Don't go for it. Just a waste of time

SCAM - and wanna know the amazing thing? Just for taking the job, you get to spend $500+ out of your pocket for your own knives! How nice of them to let you do that!

I went to one like 6yrs ago when i was 18. And wanna know the coolest thing? How they all act like their so VIP, and own the world...especially when they do the interviewing process, they try to play it so high class and act as if they are backed up with callers calling in and interviews. Puh-leez :-0

I remember the lady saying that interviews are one on one, and as I walked in what do you know - there were about 40 people LOL. I was stupid, and even stayed a bit to find out a bit more. So as time went on, they basically did 2nd interviews, and acted as if they were only choosing 2 out of the 40 - gimme a break, people arent that stupid. And after I was chatting it up with some of the buds there, and we were all like "ya I got the job" "oh me too" "Ya same" LOL LAME!!

I went to their interview couple years ago.

All I can say is scam. However, if you really want to learn some laming skills, just listen to the presenter...

Yup, big time scam. Selling "sporting good"s LOL. ==> Knives
Yes, I was stupid to go to an interview and naive enough to believe that I was the best of all the applicants. Oh, what's that? I need to go for training in some US state. And I have to pay my way there and I have to fork over some money to the company. Oh, but I'll make that up within the first month. Some people get that back the first week. It's that easy. Do you have relatives? Uncles, aunts, cousins. There, you just made a couple of sales. LOL

I was hospitalized (thank God!!) and couldn't make the 2nd interview. But they kept on bugging me to come in. Hello...I'm in a hospital.

Bottom line, as everyone else in this forum is saying, DON'T DO IT....unless you a good laugh and hear some guy give a good sales pitch.

Any job that requires you to pay $ to start is a pyramid scheme.

But wait, its a scheme of a good kind because you end up making that money back in 2 weeks plus more haha

Yeah after you rip off your friends and family by selling those overpriced knives :P

I did this a few years back and just quit after a week or so. Though I did buy their "demo" set and resold it on ebay for an easy couple hundred in profit which was the only good part of my experience with selling knives.

I went for one of those interviews with a friend once. I thought it was a total scam. My friend actually ending make a nice chunk of chance selling that crap. He quit after he realized he could only sell so many, anf that most people told him to get lost. LOL.

Another one is Primamerica.

They end up making their money from YOU purchasing the overpriced knives.

It's not that you won't sell any, it's just that you will never sell enough to make any significant amount of money from them.

Stay far away. . .

Slash-Co to reap the benefits of their new Nev-R-Dull knife edge.
Here, shake hands with the Slash-Co! [hands her the knife]
