Anyone seen the commercial that steve Nash did for MDG. If Steve did ads for tabacco or penile implants I would let it slide, but never for MDG. Has this guys ever bought a computer from them, does this guy know MDG's reputation?

 I'm sorry, but this was too funny.
Seriously though, I can't believe that the MVP of the NBA would be associated with MDG. When I first saw the ads, I thought either they were using them without his permission, or he was being blackmailed.
It would be like Michael Jordan endorsing a Kia.

Yep. Bad move Steve. Surely you make enough cashola with your NBA side that you don't need to be slumming with an outfit like MDG? If it's a brain cramp, it can probably massaged out. If your agent is out of control, tell him to get a grip. Just too low.

Those are some very odd commercials. How on earth can MDG afford an MVP of any sport for a whole campaign? I guess Nash isn't getting the same offers that Lebron & Kobe are offered.

Oof, shot after shot...!

Don't know what's more wrong, that comment or the fact that I had a very similar reaction when Steve's stern face first showed up alongside an MDG box. :-0

1) Don't think he knows how crappy the boxes are
2) I recall they were a primary sponsor for his charity so it may be a case of helping each other's needs.

You're probably right...and it's not up to him to accept jobs, it's up to his agent or manager to look into this type of stuff..

Chalk another one up for stupid sports celebrity endorsements... Gary Roberts and OKI Data printers. Someone better tell OKI that Roberts was traded months ago and no longer playing in Toronto.

Does the commercial actually mention it's Steve Nash? Maybe they just got a guy who was a dead ringer for Nash and the rest is history.

Steve seems like a really nice guy, I am sure he did not know what MDG was all about. A canadian company that sells computers how evil could they be. But ignorance is not a good excuse.I shudder to think that there will be even more people going to them to buy computers.
Hey I just had a thought, why don't they have computer pyramid schemes? Like if I refer you to buy a computer then I get a percentage of the sale and whatever suckers you can get.

Uhhh... only that they are the WORST computer reseller in Canada bar none?
Just do a search on rfd for MDG.. there's one thread where you can read about all their transgressions.

I hate Steve Nash. He has completely forgotten about his roots and his success hasn't translated at all into a better lifestyle for his parents. My coaches played ball with him during their childhood but he has now broken off all contact with them. MDG and Steve deserve eachother.

Ultimately it's his decision, I wouldn't distance him from his choices based on that.

It's too weird. At first I thought it was a ESPN commercial but all of a sudden I hear, a dollar a day!

Apparently, Nash chooses his endoresments carefully, because he feels he has enough money.
So, he must have his reasons.
